Kill switch, I had one in my 240Z wired to my fuel pump. Never had it mysteriously disappear overnight.

I would just go with the club. In most case (I would assume) the thieves are just looking for an easy target. Seeing the club on the wheel is probably enough to prevent 95% of thefts (maybe not prevent, but make them move on to another target).

Ravelco is one of the best I've seen if theft worries you. Been in business forever, and the people I've known who had them loved them. When my Mom worked in insurance, it was recommended by all the lines they carried. Ravelco Anti Theft Device

You can defeat the club in 30sec with a hacksaw. I'm sure most car thieves know this.

I used to hide my kill switches in dash mounted cigarette lighters.

Living in Los Angeles car theft is not IF but WHEN. Over the years I have had five autos stolen. The one common denominator to all the thefts was after market upgrades, Tires and Rims especially.
I also believe they had cased the cars for a while to determine my daily habits.
I would also question the people that work at the tire shops. think about it, they now know where you live.
I have an older Pickup that's my wife's daily driver. Every month or so I get a note on the windshield asking if I want to sell it.
Its just a matter of time before it disappears and will be parted out. It's being watched. It has protection but like someone stated two guys with a flat bed and its gone. I have insurance.

As our trucks get older there will be more of a demand for parts. so just because your truck is a few years old don't think its not wanted by thieves.
I had a 1976 chevy 4X4 pick-up garage kept for 18 years.I parked it in my driveway for a week. Ten days later I was in a impound yard Identifying the remains.

Do what you want, club, alarms, electronics, worry yourself sick over it. Doesnít much matter. If they want it badly enough, theyíll get it. Make sure youíre insured and donít worry about it. In 2007 I bought a Shelby GT, a retirement gift to myself. F&I salesperson tried to sell me LoJack. Said my chances of getting it back were much improved if it was stolen. I told her ďIf itís stolen, I donít want it backĒ. She didnít understand. Iíve seen what I think is the ďnormalĒ condition of returned stolen vehicles. Not something I want to deal with.

2 battery kill switches, one dummy switch mounted in an obvious location that is not hooked up to the battery at all and one in a hidden location that actually functions. The thief will be like wtf... this car sucks, I'm over it.

Go with a wireless switch. Gives you three other accessories. No hard switch for the theif to find. Use male/female connectors in case of emergency bypass. Do install an easy to find dummy switch. Maybe connect to an auxiliary horn for self report theft in progress.

Connect the wireless switch to the low power side of the fuel pump relay.

I saw a fuel pump kill switch that might work and a battery kill switch. What ideas do you have or have used?
Dont worry about it. If the 5th Gen is anything like the 4th Gen (which I would think they are), the 5th Gen should have an immobilizer in the ignition. You will not be able to start the 4Runner without the Key. The only time I've heard of a 4th Gen get stolen is because the driver left the key in the ignition.

The only way they can steal the 4th and 5th Gen is with a tow truck or if someone has one of the original keys or copied the key/chip.

I hear you on this, but I have video of the guys stealing a '18 GMC denali in 5 minutes, without the key, so I don't know what or how they did it, but they drove off in it. I would assume a similar immobilizer is used by GMC on the '18.
