Is this possible: Newer Model Lexus Steering Wheel in 5th Gen 4Runner

Curious about this, and I'm surprised I can't find anything on it.

Wondering if it's possible to swap out the stock steering wheel on the T4R for a newer model Lexus (2020+) steering wheel, and have the buttons remain functional?

Before you ask, I just really like the look of the Lexus steering wheel, that's all.

See attached pic for attention, and one on ebay.

I miss my LS... one of the best feeling steering wheels I've held.

I got one of these in my cart, TOYOTA 4RUNNER 2010-2020 BLACK PIANO wood Genuine leather steering wheel | eBay

Just waiting to push myself into buying it.

Wiring is likely different, and you'll need an airbag $$$

Another thing to consider: one thing I didn’t like about a recent gx460 test drive was the smaller diameter steering wheel. The size of the 4r wheel fits it better and works well with the heftier steering feel of the 4Runner.

Yes, the Lexus wheel felt nice, but the size would be a downgrade imo. On a sports car, maybe not…

find one with paddle shifters and make a harness to make it all plug and play=profit.

ford raptor steering wheels swap in to f250's and i LOVE paddle shifters with the 6.7.

paddle shifters would be fun in the toyota for desert stuff with nannies turned off.

Maybe AutoHarnessHouse - Custom Car Stereo Wiring Kits can make you some sort of custom transplant harness. They do it for 2014-2019's to update headunits to 2020+.
