Best way to reduce wind noise roof rack?

So in July, I am going to be taking a 15 road trip from Texas to Florida. This year I am wanting to bring 2 kayaks. I already have a roof rack and J hooks but the roof racks alone are really whistling above 40 mph. I tried wrapping paracord around the bars because there are many videos that claim it lessens the noise, but it did not work at all. I know there are farings and wind blockers but I just want to know the best way to fix this noise? Any recommendations?

These are my next possible fixes:

https://www.amazon.com/Rhino-Rack-RF...gateway&sr=8-5

A wind faring is not going to help if you are going to have kayaks up there. That will make more wind noise than the rack will ever make.

Are your cross bars installed where they are marked for the "best performance"?
I don't have any noise on mine. Factory bars.

I saw the suggestion in this thread talking about a wind screen. Do the gobi racks make a lot of noise? They come with the wind screen stock it seems.

OP - maybe shrink wrap the kayaks like they do boats in the winter would help reduce noise on your 15hr trip?

all aftermarket racks make some noise....... you will get use to it, or you will get annoyed and remove it.

After driving more than 55 mph for the first time with them on, I discovered that after 55 mph they are quiet and I can not hear them at all. Since 99% of my trip will be 70+, it won't be an issue. I will be trying the shrink wrap idea, I like that.

I know, super old reply but should I put the bars in the middle of the arrow or in front/behind of the arrow?
