TRD Pro Bilstein spring swap

I am still running the factory Bilstein's that came on my TRD Pro in conjunction with a 1.5" two-piece spacer up front. I plan to install an ARB Summit bumper and winch up front here in the coming weeks to get me by until I can get around to King's or BP-51's later this year. I know this bumper and winch combo is quite heavy so it'll undoubtedly cause the front end to sag. Can I swap out the factory springs for a heavier spring, say something closer to 700lbs in order to better handle the load and if so which make and model spring should I buy? Thanks for any help!

From what I understand 700 pound springs are not a good idea on the 6112 shocks. Put's too much load on the lower spring seat.

So can I get away with a lower spring rate? If not, what do you suggest?

I would contact Bilstein about it, they know a lot more than I do. If what I have heard about the 700 pound springs is correct, there really isn't anything you can safely do besides upgrade the shocks at the same time as the bumper and winch.

You have a couple of options here depending on how you want to go. The stock Pro spring rate is like 13" 520ish# spring.

1. Go up to a Eibach or equivalent (manufacturer almost everyone's springs) 13"x 3" coilover 600# or 650# springs and you your spacers that you have now.

2. Go with a 14"x3" 650# spring, ditch the spacers and use the oem TRD Pro lower perches. This will give you about 2" of lift over a stock Pro setup and plenty of weight to carry your bumpers. If go option #2 myself.

Are you still on stock UCA’s? Are you running the 600 or 650lb springs? Looking to get 2.5”ish out of my Bilstein TRD pro suspension. The 600lb Bilstein springs are hard to come by. But Kings 14x3 600lb can be had from wheelers at a decent price. Hmm
