T4R shopping in CA (SoCa, NorCa, SF, LA, OC, etc)

I am making this a distinct thread because I am not sure those reading the "what did you pay?" or various Trail and TRD shopping threads have the time to read all the messages to find this gem.

If you are shopping for a 4runner in the state of CA and dealing with the games, hassles, hidden last minute options thrown in, and dealers not willing to negotiate lower than sticker on certain models like TRD Pros, please do yourself a favor and contact John Coffaney at Freeman Toyota in Santa Rosa.

email: jcoffaney at freemanmotors.com

I shopped around all over LA and OC, and was a nightmare and lots of shady folks or jerks. John was a straight shooter from the first phone call, and quoted me a TRD Pro $2k UNDER sticker price which for those of us in CA is a miracle. It was well worth me flying up to Santa Rosa from LA as I saved many many thousands of dollars. Plus it was best car buying experience ever once I got there, John picked me and my girlfriend up at the airport, was super friendly and authentic, no hassles picking it up, went over every detail about the vehicle and paperwork, gave me a free touch up bottle of paint, and set up my cell phone to Entune, went through setting up stereo stations for me, showed me how to use the Navigation, and went over every button in the darn 4runner explaining what it was and how to use it etc, plus they even have an employee at the dealer whose sole responsibility is helping people with the technology, stereo, nav, cell phone connections etc, and you can call or stop in anytime and get help with any of the technology from that employee for free for life of the vehicle. John is a great dude and the dealership was legit in general.

So, hoping those shopping for Toyotas now or in the future find this thread and call or email John for a quote on whatever Toyota you might want, as imagine he will be the best deal for most of you.

Peace

I second the recommendation by @bluecollarjock . In my case, I worked with Michael Likens at Freeman Toyota. More details here.

Yup, that’s who I bought my 2018 ORP from. I was OTD for under MSRP. It was literally one email and done, no games or BS fees.

He told me they do a lot of business with people from down south since the prices there are crazy.

Many are marking up Pros in Lunar Rock, so I wanted to add that Salinas Toyota does not mark up ever. (mine should arrive in just a couple of weeks, I'm so excited!)
