Question Latches for lids on custom built storage?

I built a custom storage for the rear of the T4R similar to Dieck's and many others.
One thing I've noticed is that even with some sound deadening to weight down the lids I still hit bumps and they raise a bit and slam back down.
My solution to this is to buy a cam lock for each of the three lids, but honestly I'd prefer not to have to use a key to open them.
Is there another solution you guys know of?
Something similar but with a button instead of key perhaps?

I think a magnetic latch or magnetic catch might be your best bet without having to do major modifications to your boxes.

@mscot another solution would be to put down foam weather stripping or rubber tape (similar to a door silencer) where the lid comes in contact with the frame. I bet it makes a big difference.

Thanks guys. The more I think about it the more I think latches are necessary. I wouldn't want to be in an accident that causes the lids to pop open and what's been stored inside start flying around the cabin.

I don't know if the magnets would be enough in that scenario.

Thanks. I had forgotten McMaster-Carr. These may work:
McMaster-Carr
or
McMaster-Carr

If the latter can be used with or without locking, I'll go with them.

I like these: Search for "t handle latch"
https://www.amazon.com/Buyers-Produc...0HYMM1MN80VVBW

The T handle swings the latch mechanism into place against a striker plate (you have to supply something to catch on) and the handle when you fold it down to the closed position is a cam mechanism that puts a good amount of pressure closing it.

Thanks. Those would be great on a new build.
I'll have to decide what I am willing to do in terms of taking the lids off this one and creating a router template.
If they were completely recessed it might be worth it (or just the 1/6" thickness of the plate) but with the lock being on top, I'm not sure I gain anything over the ones I linked above.
I'll definitely bookmark it in case I build more of these. I've had 4 requests so far...I just don't think anyone would pay me enough to make it worth my time.
