There has been a lot of talk about how to wire Baja squadron lights to the Rago switches. I personally purchased the Baja squadron sports from Rago with the Rago mounting brackets and stock wire harness but I wanted to run the lights to an independent switch instead of the stock switch. I was able to get everything working but unfortunately with this method the light on the switch always stays on, even when the truck is off, but you are able to run the lights with the truck off.
Give me a follow on IG: Oceanhitchhiker and shoot me a PM if you need any help with this install or are looking for some sweet Rago products and want a discount!
The harness pictures below was purchased for the sports, discuss with Baja if you need a different harness with a different relay if you are running the pros. DO NOT USE THIS METHOD IF YOU ARE NOT USING A RELAY. IT WILL BURN THE SWITCH OUT!!
Purchase this harness from Baja. It was like 25$
For the install, the harness is pretty straight forward. Plug into lights, run wiring your preferred way, red to battery, black to ground somewhere on the body/frame. PM me if you get stuck on what to do where.
For attaching to switch, use this as a guide.
Green - black wire from Baja harness
Red 1 - red wire from Baja harness
Red 2 - I wire this to an ATM Fuse Tap, can get it from autozone for cheap. Get under the dash and you can see the fuse block, pull a fuse(pro tip, in the engine bay fuse block there is a white plastic fuse puller you can use to make life really easy) bring this fuse inside with you and ensure you get the right size tap. You MUST have both fuses in the tap or else it won’t work, so buy some extra fuses in the right amps based on which fuse port you will use. I am using the port on the row closest to the center console and 2nd from the top(top being the end closest to the dash)
Black - ground it to the bolt just behind the panel, circled below
