Key Fob Question

I have a 2017 4Runner that uses the push button start..I've never changed the battery in the key fob. I assume it will go dead one day and I'll be unable to start the vehicle..Does it give any kind of signal before going completely dead?

When the battery starts going dead, you will see a message on your info screen between the tachometer and speedometer. Mine just alerted after almost three years. Buy an extra battery and put it in your glove box. You can change the battery without any tools, the key can pry open the case.

This.

My fob battery started to get weak about 4 years in... and the dash warning came up just as stated above. I had plenty of time (read that as at least a few days) to get it replaced. What I recall was that I had to go to a few places before I found the battery in stock at my local Batteries Plus.
