Need ideas for adding Rear Tie Down Points

Wondering if anyone has added some tie down points to the rear cargo area.
I mainly would like to have one in the back, straight back from the stock ones that are right behind the rear seats.
So I can run it over the top of some containers. Right now, it doesnt really work running a strap from there to the tie downs in the rear corners, its too much of an angle.
I assume I will have to attach something to the metal floor, and make a slit in the carpet and rubber mat.
Nutserts? Just drill holes and stick bolts in? Not sure the best way to go about it.

I added an extra tie down in the back of my 3rd gen. It is mounted using pieces of bar stock both below and above the factory sheet metal to distribute the load, and then the tie down bolts through the bar stock. I notched the rubber mat and put some foam around the pivot point to keep it from rattling, you can see this in the second picture. This tie down has held down my cargo drawer in place for about 10 years.

nglayton, I already did the same thing to the overhead plastic hooks, but I was wondering what threading that rear post was, thank.

slomatt, Thanks for the pics, that is probably what I will have to end up doing, since I want them in certain places on the floor that will line up with the containers I am using.
