For those of you who ordered a SSO rack, how did it ship?

The reason I ask is because I received my “rack” today and it was only the light bar, front fairing and sides. Not a single rail...I ordered 3 extra over the standard 7.

FedEx says 92 pounds, was 35 max. The rails clearly didn’t ship nor do I know why they’d send two different packages at completely different times.

Have two emails to them currently and waiting to hear so I’m wondering for those who ordered, did it all come together or separate packages?

What top storage do people recommend with this rack? And how are you attaching it?

I need storage I can lock and is fairly weatherproof (think 2-week road trip).

For a traditional top cargo box, I like the Yakima Skybox 18 Carboniate, but I'm not sure how I would attach it to the crossbars of the SSO rack.

I'd like to throw my tent and other camp supplies up there. Would also like something to put my tools in. That can be another, smaller box that sits inside something like the Yakima, or it could be something totally separate.

Thanks.

If I remember correctly, the crossbars came in a separate box than the rack itself, so arrived in multiple boxes. But they both arrived at the same time.

*edit - Nevermind. Everything came in one box.

Look into the FrontRunner wolf pack or Cub pack.

Thanks for the reply.

I've taken a look at these. The Wolf Pack containers + the weather bag + the mountain plates is a possible solution. The biggest issue is there's no security. There's no way for me to lock the boxes to the rack.
