How to price a sensibly built 2017 TRD OR Premium for sale?
I am thinking about selling my TRD OR Premium that has been build with some sensible upgrades for camping, overlanding, etc. It is a 2017 TRD OR Premium (silver/black *leather*, no KDSS, no sunroof) with 25k miles with the following adds/upgrades:
BFG AT KO2 (275/70/17 x5)
UCA/Light Racing upper control arms
Bilstein 6112/5160 suspension
Wheelers T13 rear springs
Budbuilt powder coated sliders
Eezi Awn K9 2200mm aluminum roof rack
HID Headlights
LED Fog Lights (yellow)
National Luna Aux Battery system
Yellow Top auxiliary battery
Aluminum battery mount ($400)
Airlift system ($250)
Blackout (OEM) front and rear valance panels
Drawers storage system (homemade but nice)
I am thinking about buying a 100 series LC but I am not super interested in taking a big hit on resale. Has anyone done a similar sale recently with a truck with mods? I really avoided anything that would be too hard to recoup value (armor)...
Any ideas? Attached are a few photos. Thanks!

IMO you really need to find someone who values those particular mods. For me, the only things I would be interested in would be the roof rack and sliders but in the grand scheme of things it wouldn't add that much value to the overall price I would be willing to pay over another exact same condition truck. $1000 maybe??
For me the other stuff is nice to have but I wouldn't pay to have it done to my truck so wouldn't give it much value second hand.
On the other hand some may prefer a clean stock vehicle, less chance it was offroaded which may mean something to some people.

The problem that you face trying to sell a modded rig like that is your buyers pools gets really shallow. To someone that's looking for something similar to what you've built and is looking for a turn key rig can appreciate the value of what you put into it and is willing to may more. The more average buyer is usually not willing to pay above market value of a stock 4Runner. You get into the issue of do you hold on to it until the right buyer comes along or put it back to stock and broaden your buyer base. The aftermarket goodies are often worth more parted out the when sold with the truck. Good luck with your sale though.

Blue book.
Never mod expecting to recoup money.
Also depends on who buying it and their finances. Some banks won't loan more than KBB anyways. Makes the pool of buyers even smaller if trying to figure more for mods.

On any mods,no matter how tasteful, consider yourself fortunate to get $.25 back on each $1.00 spent when selling them as part of the vehicle. Always keep the OEM parts you replace so you can replace the aftermarket parts when selling your vehicle. Make the aftermarket parts available to the buyer at 50% off retail off or sell them on EBay etc.
Motorcycles or cars,it's always the same when it comes to aftermarket.

It was offroaded for a three week trip to Colorado. Had a Roofnest up top, ARB fridge, and a Hitchgate on the back and it just ate up everything. Came home without a single scratch. We were on Imogene Pass and it was freezing/misting/snowing and some guy in a Mercedes GWagen spends 10 minutes trying to get up an icy/wet boulder and he could not do it. I locked the diff and zipped right over it. He was not amused lol.

Ugh. So much work... I guess I would leave the suspension as-is but I could pull the roof rack, sliders, and aux battery easy enough though. Could probably recoup $1500...

Edmunds TMV private party is a pretty good indicator. PP “clean” condition pretty well tracks Black Book and the Manheim Market Report. You could adjust up from there. KBB is a joke.

As others have said I would take it back to stock as much as possible. To me the roof rack, sliders, national luna battery system, and drawers could easily be taken out and recoup some of that money. You could easily re-purpose the aux battery system and drawers to fit the LC100. I probably wouldn't bother with the rest. You'd get minimal back on the suspension and it's not worth wrenching on it to take it out. Overall a nice clean build without permanent mods so you won't have any problems selling it.

For $65k its not worth it. For $50k, maybe. There is probably over $20k in equipment on that thing.
A clean 2015 4runner trail prem with 60k miles is still $33k.
