130k miles here. Replacing a bunch of front end components this week to get my alignment in check, but that's the only issue I've had.
I actually bought this truck with front and rear cosmetic damage. The passenger side rear bumper was broke loose at the seam and flopping around. Fixed it twice with a heat gun and super glue. But as predicted, it popped back out on the trails, so I yanked it off. No issues for 2 years and the rugged look has grown on me lol. Rear frame is a good place for stickers too.

I purchased mine slightly damaged but made it more better on a few wheeling trips. I think the rear is coming off tonight. You just saved me $2k with those pics!

Lol, yea I had some rustoleum around from trying to match my Shrockworks powder coat. So I painted the under body to break it up some. Your probably gonna want to do the same. 6 bucks for a can if paint beats 2k! Glad I could help lol.

Talking

My dad just bought an 11' with 179k on it. Runs great. My 3rd gen has 250k miles and I personally like that way better

Got her with 72k and now sitting with 125k. Trouble-free so far knock on wood. No plans to replace her with anything anytime soon.

ive got a 2010 with 128k miles on it. I may have to sell it depending on the next work posting, and i really really really really really dont want to but i may not have a choice, as having it SIT, STATIONARY for 2ish years sounds like a terrible idea all around.

I wouldnt trade my 2010 for a newer one tbh. I like the roofrack, the interior, the LACK of a smog pump under the hood getting in my way. eh, do what you want, its your money, but I want to keep mine forever unless it is not longer feasible

* Also as others have stated you CAN upgrade the front headlights and fascia if you want to, i think theres a thread or three on here about exactly how to do that if you want more front bumper options.

Still happy with mine. Just broke 100k last weekend. Going to replace the coolant this Summer. Brake fluid too although the original brake pads are still good.

I hate all of you with a Shoreline Blue TE. Researched for a year and only saw one ever pop up for sale

OP: what parts do you want to get that you can't for for '12? The list isn't long - a few nose parts and I'm sure a few interior accessories. Everything else is the same.

Not a fan of the 14+ refresh. Now the interior and new 2020 audio system will make me wish mine was new, but aftermarket deck will fix that.

You do you but no, I wouldn't. I'd be paying twice for the same car. I'd go LC before spending +70k on 2 4runners in less than 10yrs.

I love my 2010 TE. I purchased it from my grandpa 8 months ago when he upgraded to a 2018. He said he likes the 2010 better.

i always loved the exterior of the pre facelift trail editions, but hated the dated interior. Thats what stopped me from buying one back in the day, and what made me a facelift version in 2016.

Got it done. Not as good looking as the dark paint but I like it better than the bumper. Now that I've got it off I am starting to get lots of customer bumper ideas.

Also found a spot on the rear left where the frame has been hit. Nice.

I specifically sought out a 10-13 TE. Just hit 109K, no issues. I don't plan on getting rid of it any time soon.
