I like how it is, definitely a Unicorn. I've personally only seen backup sensors on some Limited and SR5. Not sure if that is a Gulf States Toyota port or dealer option. My donor OG TE rear bumper didn't have the backup sensor hole cut outs but the body shop I used was able to integrate it in with my center rear lower bumper cover.

If I would of known months ago about that Toyota part I definitely would of gone your route, it's more water crossing safe.
And you are correct the fender flares line bends on the OG TE bumpers will never match perfectly with other trim models but I wouldn't stress over it.

I still got my 2010 SR5. Thinking about buying new 2022 one, but just because of all that uncertainties with economics and supply chain.

Well - maybe if I could find one in that burnt orange color

Same here. I have close to 128k miles on my 2010 Limited that I bought new in January 2010. Still love it and it drives like new. Just don't see enough difference in the new models to considering upgrading.

@bboy626 not sure what I did to deserve a shout out but I’m always hear to help. I’ve personally learned alot from this forum.

It’s never once crossed my mind to sell my OG trail. I love the ruggedness and uniqueness of them. I see a bunch of 2014+ running around but rarely do I ever see an OG Trail (I get giddy when I do) but I’m torn on getting a hybrid bumper and cutting up the front end even more…*sigh* first world problems

I love mine! 1 year with me and I think it’s looking solid. 128,500 miles on a 2011 model.

@blksubykid If recollection serves me well I bought the LFD crossbars from you a while back, and always helpful when I had questions. Good to see you on this thread!

May I ask what brand of winch you have and what were the modifications to get it to fit flush like yours? Also would I need to beef up the stock springs to account for the additional weight?

Thank you in advance

Sincerely, Charles Abbott

I know this is an old thread, but I think it's more relevant now honestly. I see the 14+ models everywhere, literally. I drove 12+ hours and outbid five other people to get my 2012 TE a few years back. No regrets. This is my favorite vehicle and I like it even more now.

I just rolled over 159,000 miles on mine and I haven't had a single problem yet. Planning on getting some more armor next year but I wouldn't trade this for anything, it is so capable
