I need to measure it on my buddy's lift. Once I met the seller of the 6112 I immediately removed the 600# springs and sold them to bayou_pro, installed the 650# king, set the spring perches to 7D&5P setting and added the .5" headstrong top spacer. I had the install on a tight schedule inline with my C4 lo pro bumper install. I'm pretty sure I don't have as much down travel as you. I'm sitting "23D and "23.25P. I was planning on 295E tires but came back down to earth and went with 285P tires for mpg and gearing reasons.
My ride is pretty heavy so I went quite extreme with the lift, I knew I would sag quite a bit with the 600# Bilsteins.
Sorry I wasn't able to answer your question lol.

I deleted my previous post. Better numbers here:

Stock front shaft travel is 5". Just measured. Total stock wheel travel is 7.8" per a Toyota FJ doc pictured on that forum.
6112 front shaft travel is 5.5". Given the above, total 6112 wheel travel becomes 8.6".

What is up and down split? Per the measurements in this thread, stock Pro has 5" down travel and therefore 3.6" of up travel. This means that stock non-Pro has 4.2" of down travel and 3.6" of uptravel. All numbers are a little approximate of course.

But what about UCA? Nothing. Toyota said in 2015 that the Pro has extra 0.75" wheel travel. No fine print to the tune of "but you need aftermarket UCAs LOL."

Where do I fit?

I am at 2 and 4 settings for a real lift measured at skid plate not exceeding 1". I have 4.5" of down travel (yay!). There is no way I have lost up travel so I must have 4.1" of up travel.

When I had 1.25" Dobs springs I measured, less attentively, my down travel as 2.75" which squares more or less well with the 4.25" supposed stock down travel. I must have had then about 5" of up travel. How did it feel?
--Super comfy on compression: checks out
--Topping out at speed over big woops: checks out.

I guess aftermarket UCAs just add another 0.5" or so over what already is "hidden" in the suspension from the factory. This means the 4R was meant to be lifted from the get go (and those reverse angle CVs!) with the Pro height being the ideal position and anything from stock non-Pro to 2" height being "factored in" hence no issues.

Also, I would not want to be back under 4" of down travel.

Did I rediscover the hot water correctly, @Jetboy , @Bumbo , @Akkording , @sn_85 ?

I always go aftermarket UCAs not only do UCA help with alignment numbers but it also gives you more travel.

I have an SR5P and just purchased the 6112 coil overs. What else do I need to install? Do I need new UCA’s, spring perches, top hats, or can I use my stock SR5 parts with less travel?

Appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks.

You need nothing else but be aware that not every spring compressor will work with the 6112 shock body. Bilstein provides various bushings, you re-use the tophats. You don't need UCAs for most settings. If using the highest, you might.

As per the instructions, you need to use different perch settings pax and driver to compensate for the lean, so 1/3, 2/4, etc. I used 2/4 and got 1/3 lift with no front weight other than skids. But it sure leveled the front as side to side as the driver side is now only 1/16 lower vs 3/8" lower stock.

Btw, can you please let me know what exactly part number is stamped on your shocks (or on the sticker on the shocks) once you get them?

I would be happy to. What is the significance is the part numbers? Do I need to look for anything in particular?

Jason

I FINALLY pulled the trigger on this after having the 6112’s for over a year. I went with Icon 52700’s in the rear which give about 1.75” of actual lift. My measurements were rushed but it looks like I got 2.5” to the fender in the front and 2.25” to the fender in the rear when combined with 285’s. It’s been about a week and I love it. Far less nose dive and lean when cornering and it just looks better. My co-worker, who is an Tacoma overlander, said it now looks like someone told it to “grow a pair” and it did... in the pic, top is after and bottoms is stock.
