I got my 4Runner without a sunroof, and I am thankful that I did. Extra headroom, no chance of a sunroof leaking, shattering, or making any noises! I see value in the sunroof, but that's one perk the old TRD Pros had is no sunroof. Go for it. 4Runners are awesome

Thanks for the two cents everyone. I think the way I’m seeing it I’d feel cheated if I paid more for something with arguably inferior/deteriorated suspension versus being able to get a trail or ORP with the same features essentially plus a sun roof and KDSS. Maybe I put a roof rack on anyway but maybe I can work out the best of all worlds. And for 500 or less I can swap out the grille to match the aesthetic I want. I did take one last tour at the dealer to rule out the viability of brand new as a better option, and even with the Costco program it just didn’t get there for me - still after invoice discount I’m in the low 40’s with the features I want and the interest rate is no better and supposedly with the trucks they try to encourage leases over finance.(?) I really weighed out the investment and what I want out of it and comfortability of paymentsvs cash outlay etc... Maybe there’s something to be said for leases but i’m not there yet. I also tried to spin around ona. KDSS runner and honestly it’s hard for me to make out a difference on a test drive either way. Leap of faith in favor of KDSS lol. So anyway, I have the trail premium on the hook still so if all goes well by Tuesday I’ll be back in a “new” runner with all the things...except cooled seats.

I'm K.I.S.S. kinda guy, never been a fan of the KDSS or previously XREAS, just more shit to fail. I only liked sunroof when I was a smoker years back. They all squeak.

I just picked up an OR today. I can't tell you what to pick but all I can say is to do your homework, don't get excited when car shopping. Have a hard number in your mind and stick to it.

I've been to 5 dealers, only let the last one run my credit. Traded in my Sienna(I tried to sell it on CL, most I could get was $7000) for $8200, no money down, 3.23% on $30000 financed through 3rd party bank.

Now matter what the dealers tell you, the car market has been in a slump for at least 5 months straight.
