Xtreme LED Pro Kit Review - 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner

Are H11 LED kits brighter them the stock H11 halogen?

Check out this install of the H11 Xtreme LED Pro kit in our 2018 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro and see how well it really performs. The review shows beam pattern photos, and LUX measurements of the OEM H11 halogen bulb (baseline) vs our H11 LED headlight kit. Here are some pics from the review:

How do these compare to an H11 HID kit?

On the fence on which to go with, LED or HID. Do the LED's not require cutting into the dust cap (potential condensation issues as others have mentioned from HID kits)

Cost difference could sway me towards LED's if they're easier install and minimal difference in performance vs HID kit. But still leaning towards HID ...

Nice review. After driving last night and wondering if my headlights were even on (they were), I think it's time for an upgrade. I'm going to order a pair.

Are the high beams worth upgrading to LED too?

Everyone says to go hid in the stock headlights because you get brighter output. I have the extreme kit which is different than the pro. I am happy with them but I think if you want the best output everyone says to go with xenon depot hid kit with the Phillips bulbs from my understanding.

That's what I keep hearing too.

I just checked out their site - 15% coupon currently for Valentines day... will pull the trigger for the XD HID Kit with Philips Update.

What are my options for low beam fog and drl in a 2013 trail if I don’t want delays, battery drain issues or hums or other odd things? How hard is install?

I have xenon depot leds for my fogs and drl. I like them both. I am pretty impressed with the led fogs especially.

Hi, Guys.

Thank you for taking the time to post up feedback!

As per your questions/concerns:

(1) HID is brighter then LED -- no comparison. However, the Xtreme LED pro kit is a fantastic option as it provides more light output then stock, but not too bright. Some people are concerned about HIDs being too bright - so this is a happy medium There is a common misconception that LED kits produce less light output then stock (because so many LED Kits in the market don't). We did this review to prove that our kits work better then stock...LED kits are not all the same.

(2) Highs / DRL -- The 4runner uses a pulsing signal to create a lower voltage in DRL mode. If you plan on installing an LED kit for this application then the light will flicker extremely fast. If you use our CANbus / PWM module then it will eliminate the flickering -- but it will cause the light to function at full / regular intensity.

Hope this helps,

Danny

Love them

Before I even re-filled the gas tank on my 2018 Truck I replaced the hi and low beams with the H11 HID kit and the XTREME LED Pro kit with the CANbus modulator from Xenon Depot. I am super stoked on them. Soon I am going to replace my fogs with some Yellow Phillips H16's, also from Xenon Depot.

Quick question. XenonDepot only have 35w hid kit for 4runner which is around $154.99, Am I correct? First time buyer here, I have seen a lot of great review about XenonDepot HID kit for 4runner, I just want to make sure I bought the correct HID kit last night.

@ksj0823 - The 2017 4Runner uses an H11 bulb for the low beams, which means that you'll need to get an h11 Xtreme HID kit.

Make sure to check out our promotions page though, as you'll find a coupon code to help you with the price.
