Help with SSO Hybrid Slimline bumper install

So I need a bit of help and maybe a picture. I'm installing a SSO Hybrid Slimline bumper on my 2019 Off Road. I've got the cutout done and all of the plastic body reinstalled, but I can't seem to get the bumper to go into place correctly. It seems like the lower edge of the bumper is getting hung up on the TRD Skidplate. Is the skid plate supposed to be removed before installing the bumper? If so, does the skid plate end up below the edge of the bumper? I've already scratched the hell out of the skid plate trying to get the bumper installed. Thanks!

Did you tell them that you had a TRD skid plate?

The bumpers are made differently for TRD pros.

I ordered the bumper for the TRD skid as well. They shipped the wrong one, and it kind of sucked because I found out after I had it powder coated locally.

You will need to unbolt that extra plate on the bottom. There are two cap head screws on the sides and three in the middle if I remember right. For me, after I took it off, of course the powder coat was now messed up where the plate and screws used to be. However, after removing the plate it went on super easy.

Put the TRD skid plate on last.

Pro tip #1. Set plastic front end grill face down on a blanket. The thing will move on it's own and scratch the hell out of the paint if rested any other way.

Pro tip #2.
If you have a TRD Skid Plate Read This!

Pro tip #3.
Use a floor jack padded with rags to position the hybrid bumper and Trd Skid Plate.

License plate

Hey all,

I’m in the window of waiting for my bumper that went from 8 weeks to 10, to now 12 so I have some time to kill before my bumper is shipped.

I’m trying to figure out license plate mounting options. I got mine without the cut outs up front so I could mount the plate to the left. I don’t like the idea of the flip up/down because it seems to kill the look. Has anyone drilled into the bumper and mounted it right to the bumper?

Or has anyone tried to use one that mounts below it like this one? KD Fabworks License Plate Mount for Hawse Fairleads

I used license plate magnets but now mine is mounted to my fairlead and it allows me to take the plate off when I don't need a front one on. **** Illinois and their stupid front license plate law. I used to not run on but when i was parked at O'hare CPD got me for $75, no front plate.
