I would love to do this mod by myself but unfortunately I do not weld, nor do I have an angle grinder to cut the BM (& I highly doubt my dremel will do the job).

Does this sound like a reasonable $$$ amount for the job??

Thanks!
Find a Harbor Freight nearby and go pick up an angle grinder for like $15. well worth it! Cant help with the welding part though might be able to find someone local from the forum who has a welder and will do it for cheap, plus you get to make new friends!

I feel for a professional mount chop, around $200 is the going rate with the boxed in plate welded and painted.

The BMC itself looks great. Looks OEM. After I took it to Cleghorn, I found out that I still slightly rub on one side, but that's probably my fault for neglecting to tell him to do a very aggressive chop. He's also a really cool dude; he can talk to you for hours about 4Runners, custom fab work, etc.
