Start of build thread:

(Day 1 home from dealer)

I had the dealer throw on the KO2's so I wouldn't notice the rough ride after the stock Dunlops - so far very pleased, they handle well around the city/highway which is 95% of my driving. No Rub riding on OEM Trail Wheels - the 275's fit great.

35 PSI from the dealer felt great, a bit soft for the highway, I was getting around 16-16.5 mpg

Recently pushed it up to 40 PSI which is noticeably rougher ride but getting 17-17.5 mpg

I just received the APEX Sliders and dropped them off to the local powder coater, I should have these back and installed within a week

Sliders are powder coated and installed

All Pro APEX Sliders without the top plate -

2 small problems
1.) Broke one of the bolts torquing down to the recommended 29ft lbs
I would use my own bolts next time vs using the supplied hardware - now I'll have to spend time to drill it out of the frame, hope I have room but there are 10 other bolts holding it so I might just leave it as is
2.) Everything with KDSS fit perfectly with the exception of the two lines exiting the rear of the pump on the driver side frame rail, I had to bend the lines to fit around the gusset

Other than that I love these sliders so far

Beach pic while I patiently wait for my gobi rack. In the meantime I've installed Phillips Diamond Vision bulbs hi & lo which are great color but suck at providing light output and Phillips LED fogs which were well worth the money.

It's been a while since I provided an update on my build...so I figured I would catch up on my thread

GOBI Installed, went with the No-Rise Stealth, HD Struts, Rear Ladder, Adjustable Crossbars, Hi-Lift Mounts

Took a trip out to Portsmouth Island, NC -> It rained a LOT and I attempted to pass Water Road to Portsmouth Village...this is what the road typically looks like (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEsHwVzd_JY), during the trip I didn't get a photo or video which sucks), with all the rain it was a good 12 inches deeper but I couldn't tell at the start. There is a sign from NPS posted "Mostly 8" to 10" deep hard bottom, stay in the middle" I walked it for about 50 yards and determined it to be knee deep...but once I got driving, about 100 yards in I dropped into a waist deep hole for a good 50 feet before coming back up to knee deep...at this point I made the decision to turn around - I wasn't about to sink my 6 month old Truck an hour private ferry and an hour drive down the beach to save me a day or two later...so I turned around, when I reversed to pull a 3 point turn the front silver valence popped off, pressure from the water ripped all (14 I think) mounting tabs that were molded to the valence. My first battle wound. Couple photo's from the trip below. This gave me good reason to replace the silver valences with TRD Pro black front and rear.

So did that look like water got into the rear diff? When I pulled the plug it was still at a perfect fill level, and it's not the milky brown I would expect...this is right at 15k miles now so it's due to be changed anyway.

Here we go with the new black valances - I'm much happier with these anyway

Installed the anytime backup camera dongle, with front camera relay harness, front camera, AOB Switches for the rear/front and while I was at it, a GPS override so I can use the GPS while driving down the road.

While I was in the middle of wiring and had my dash apart, I also installed the ANTMAN Foglight anytime mod...with one small change.. @Antman cut the black and brown wires from the switch...you only need to tap into the brown wire not cut it...you can leave the black wire as it's already a ground wire. Now when you turn your fogs on, the green light will work when the headlights are on...your still creating the canbus switch to the computer, and at least you have a green light sometimes. You still need the relay setup to power the fogs at anytime...and they shut off when the truck off, love this mod.

Crappy photo, but the quality of the camera/screen are great.

Is there a GPS override write up anywhere? I hate having to stop in order to enter an address, especially when a passenger can do it.

Updated my mods list and I finally have my suspension plans figured out...

I've read up a lot about Kings/Fox/Icon...ultimately choosing Kings with a bunch of other ICON parts. There are a lot of threads about ride quality diminishing with kings when trying to get about 3" lift from them, but I'm completely fine with around 2.5" and going 2" Icons on the rear. Using a 600lb spring due to the roof rack and DOM Sliders which will help keep the height without having to over do preload...eventually I'll add a winch, slimline bumper, skids so I will swap it out down the road for a 700lb spring - this is a starting point.

Here is my shopping list - I still have to order the Kings & Wheels/Tires, but that will come in 2018 - the rest of the parts have all been ordered through the ICON Black Friday sales
-------------------------------------------
Kings front Coilovers w/ extended travel & compression adjusters (600lb spring)
Kings rear shocks w/ extended travel & compression adjusters
ICON tubular control arms w/ delta joint
ICON tubular control arm caps
ICON 2" rear springs
ICON adjustable rear track bar
Total Chaos 1" diff drop kit
ICON rear shin guards
FN FX Pro Wheels
285 KO2's

Most recent update - installed Ellis Precision knobs - these completely change the look of the interior

FYI I think the stock front spring rates are 586 lbs so going to 600 lbs is not that much of a difference. If you're anticipating more weight in the future I'd go for a 650 lb front spring right now and then upgrade to 700 only if needed. Whereas if you get 600 lbs front springs right now you'll definitely have to upgrade to heavier springs in the future.

Thanks for the advice on that - the standard Kings come with 550lb spring so I was basing the 600lb on that - if the stock springs are damn near 600 already I would want to go with 650lb

I'll do some searching for people running the 600 or 650lb springs on Kings currently - have done a bit already but I haven't had much luck on finding feedback regarding anything beyond the 550 OEM rate for Kings
