New Alpine System Coming
For 5th gen non JBL
Alpine Ships Toyota Truck Amps | ceoutlook.com
Press Release (Unedited): Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. is now shipping three new powered sound systems for select Toyota trucks. The new models are the PSU-300FRN for the Toyota 4Runner® (2010-Up), PSU-300TCM for the Toyota Tacoma® (2016-Up), and the PSU-300TND for the Toyota Tundra® (2014-Up). Each system is compatible with the truck models that do not have the optional factory amplified sound system.
The three models are direct-fit sound system upgrades that are simple-to-use and enhance the overall sound performance of the factory sound system. Each system is pre-tuned to match the respective truck, eliminating the need to make tedious adjustments to the sound system.
All models are 300-watt systems which include an 8-inch powered subwoofer and a compact 4-channel amplifier. The products are pre-assembled onto vehicle-specific brackets and come with vehicle-specific wiring harnesses for easy plug-and-play installation.
The compact size of the subwoofer allows it and the amplifier to be installed under the front passenger’s seat (or under the left rear seat for the Tacoma) for optimal sound performance and placement that won’t occupy useable space in the vehicle. The included remote bass knob provides convenient control of the bass level right from the dash.
All models are compatible with the base factory Toyota radio, an Alpine universal head unit, or other aftermarket head unit. They are available now at authorized Alpine retailers at $800 each. Visit Alpine | Home for a store locator.

I was hoping for a restyling kit.
Edit: I found a picture of the sub. $800 gets you the powered sub and a 4 channel amp.

Yes, this is exactly what I was hoping for! It's not a drastic change, but it has an oem feel and improvement.

This is a system upgrade not a new system. Its also definitely overpriced for a 300w amp sub combo.

Looks way overpriced to me. My plan is to get the Alpine Halo HU, that same PnP Alpine Amp and the same sub for under $1400

I'm looking at the Halo myself, I'm planning to piece together the maestro wires and other pieces for half the price that they're charging for the PNP kit, if you're planning to do the same I'd love to share notes

Now if this comes with PnP harness that require no splicing that could make life waaaaaay easier. I enjoy wiring up 12v stuff but sometimes easy is worth the money. I'd have to think on this one.

You can get a PNP harness from TacoTunes for 30 bucks

Cool. Well since Alpine doesn't have the complete kit in black, I'll have to do the same. Was probably going to order the Halo, the PnP amp, and install accessories from Crutchfield, that way if something doesn't fit I'll have someone to complain to. LOL I think all of the install stuff was like right at $200. The sub is much cheaper on Amazon.

Are we sure it's ONLY the powered sub and amp? Asking because they have these kits for the Jeep Wranglers too, and those generally include the other speakers + wiring harness adapter, and all installatuon pieces/adapters as well. But, IIRC the Wrangler kit is $1,300, so maybe the 4R kit doesn't get everything...
