BPF Aluminum Molle Rear Panels 5th Gen 4Runner
BULLETPROOF FABRICATION MOLLE PANEL PAIR FOR 2010+ 4RUNNER
Tired of having all your equipment loosely rolling around in the back? Want some extra space and have your belongings better organized? Well, we have a solution for you! Our all new storage rack is made from light weight aluminum and is tough as nails. This kit includes both driver side and a passenger side storage panels.
Features:
-Panel is made from 11 GA Aluminium.
-Bracket is made from 3/16s Aluminium.
-Laser cut.
-Black powder coated to protect against scratches.
-It mounts directly in OEM bolt location, not drilling.
-No custom fitting required (direct bolt on).
-Bottle opener on one side
-Weighs just 7 lbs both panels.
-T4R logos will both be facing inward.
-Panel includes All needed mounting hardware.
-Aluminum spacers.
-Drivers side and passenger side storage panels.
-Two mounting brackets.
Why Bulletproof Fabrication over the competition?
-Bulletproof Fab is the only company who makes their panels out of aluminum. The benefit of aluminum vs steel is no rusting, a fraction of the weight and dont have to worry about chipping your powdercoat!
-Shipping times on some panels can take upwards of 8 weeks! Not with bulletproof fabrication, as you will have your panels usually within 3 weeks!
-The built in bottle opener makes it easy to open up your favorite beverage while your on the trail or at the campsite.

Victory 4X4 sells them individually, unless you're set on these.

Does the original coat hanger still get used with these or is that eliminated with the install?

You can use it if you want. You just need to trim the little tab on it.

I just installed the passenger side last night and this thing screams quality. I know other manufacturers make them in steel but this one being aluminum seems just as tough.

Thanks for the review! We are glad to hear you are pleased with the quality. When designing the part, the consensus was there was no reason to choose steel over alum for this part, just adding unneeded weight.

That’s how I feel. I’m kicking my own arse right now for ordering Rago. Senseless weight in steel. I’m returning them and will be ordering BPF today or tomorrow

I’m sure BPF makes a great product, but “senseless weight”... seriously? There’s probably about an 8-10 pound difference between steel and aluminum in this application.
Aluminum probably does make more sense, but It’s hadly worth the hassle of kicking your own arse or returning the Rago panels just to save so little weight. It’s about as silly as bicycle enthusiasts insisting on carbon fiber seat posts in order to shave 4 ounces of weight off their bike.
If you actually plan on using the panels for storage, 8-10 additional pounds isn’t going to make a significant difference in the grand scheme of things.
Wow talk about first world problems.
