8k min and is what most have with zero issue or drama. I went with 10k just because I do mud. 12k is over kill.

That said, nobody ever regretted having more than you need.

As far as new coils or re working your suspension goes this is where the worm hole begins. I'd try and plan your mods out to see where you think your going and get it all in order. For me, about a year after I lifted my truck I added a full bumper and winch and my lifted suspension could barely handle it. It only got worse from there, do one thing, adjust another etc. It's fun but can be difficult to get everything dialed in without a big expense all at once.
Bottom line yes you will probably need new coils if you add all that weight to your front end. You can get new coils for your front end. Brand doesn't matter pick what you want. However, as you build the weight up on the front end the dampening of the OEM similar Bilstein coils won't be sufficient to handle the load and those will need replaced also to get the performance back in line.
Thanks a bunch everyone for the input!

I have a SSO bumper with Smittybilt 10,000 x20 winch with syn rope. Have used a few times, though not for being stuck. It does what it's supposed to. I have a Toytec lift and 650 # front springs. Fuel mileage is around 18-21 with 17 being the lowest I have gotten in 23,000 miles.

Exclamation Amazing Apex Winch Deal *Website Glitch*

This glitch doesn't work when you add the item to your cart (I think the deal is a glitch) but if you go into the store they will honor the price.

I know...HF....meh. BUT, this price is almost 40% off the normal price, and an additional 25% off the lowest ever sale price. And honestly the quality of these winches are actually pretty good for what it is.

APEX Synthetic 12,000 lb. Wireless Winch

*for reference here's the lowest sale coupon, and the original item, without the website glitch:*
