Does anyone have a pic you can post with the UltraSwing installed without the tire mounted ?

Preferably with nothing mounted ( table or Rotopax ) Iím trying to see if just using it for a swing out for a 1up USA bike rack my plate and camera might be useable without relocating.

Thx.

Is the spare safe from theft or can anyone with a wrench steal it?

I still donít get why anyone would run one of these. Isnít the whole point of moving the spare out from under to increase departure angles? Iíd be willing to bet that this thing makes it even worse than stock.

Not sure I would need for the 4R but see a great application for my pickup truck. 37" tire won't fit in stock location so it takes up half the bed. Then with the RTT on I can't fit a bike and still carry all the gear. This would let me put the spare off the back and carry a bike too.

Table and Rotopax

Hi, your able to mount both table and rotopax together, and work the table? Seems like you can only have either or.
Thanks

I use it as a spare tire carrier, mount my rotopax, as well as have the drop down front runner table and rago plate, and its relatively compact compared to other stuff out there. And love that I can take it off if I want to drop weight or cruising around in the city.

Back up camera definitely gets blocked when its on but then again its not a permanent piece like a full bumper. I just leave lots of space when backing up.

Only cons I didn't like was the design of the rago plate that mounts to the swing out. The hole spacing makes it difficult to access nuts/bolts and attach the table or other accessories. Thought there could have been more thought put into that part.

Looks cool, provides mounting accessories in addition to the spare tire. I love mine and have not regrets. If I think departure angle is an issue, I would simply remove it and toss it in the hatch area.

Awesome setup!
Can you actually install a bike rack on that hitch where you have that D ring shackle?

The ultraswing has two 2Ē receivers. The part that actually inserts into the receiver for mounting will accept a receiver hitch thats acceptable for towing WITH the ultraswing. Theres a second non tow rated receiver on the swing arm. This is for accessories like bike racks that allow the entire rack to swing open for access to rear hatch. I had a mount built for mine that allows me to put a 2.5 gallon propane tank there for cooking on the included table.

I have been extremely pleased with this product and they are prompt with answers to questions and are a pleasure to do business with.

Like others, I wired lights in using a trailer harness with two of the led bolt lights in the unused top license plate holes. Simple enough.

Departure angle... it very well may be more drag prone than stock, but not having to wrestle a ~95lb wheel/tire under the vehicle is reason enough for me. The table is super convenient, and I was able to add the propane bottle. I do a lot of offroading but little to no rock crawling. It suits my needs. If I were using the truck differently Id have built it differently.

Is anyone having issues with their UltraLatch not clearing the hatch door when it's in the open position? I thought something was wrong, but contacted Rigd and they said you're just supposed to keep it closed if you're opening or closing the door.

Usually this isn't a problem because I know to close it, but I just had a tire shop close the hatch door with the handle open and it managed to chip some paint off this time.

Wondering if everyone is just dealing with this or if there's something wrong with mine.

Nothing wrong...just the way it is built. Slightly annoying, but you get used to flipping it back before you try to open/close the hatch
