so are you guys even removing the rear springs and cycling the suspension to full bump to verify your bumps are correct and not limiting up travel? you should. lol

at least i know my kings are not over compressing proper way to setup suspension is to remove springs and cycle with the shocks. regardless of where you think your springs might coil bind.

One thing to consider as well for limiting upward travel is in case your wheel will contact your body due to an aggressive offset.

Taller tire size especially if youre not running a taller spring. i'm at 1.5" rear lift and the 33's are CLOSE

I was referring more to the wheel vs the tire.
For example, I ran SCS 17x8.5 with -10mm offset and it was fine at full tuck. This was with 285/70/1 BFG KO2's.

So from that perspective, running stock bumps are fine. I was concerned that the tires would not tuck and actually strike the fender.

I'm now on SCS 17x9 with -38mm offset. I have not yet verified that my tires will tuck properly (sub flush with respect to the fender). Thus, having taller bumpstops can help prevent this situation from occurring.

oh for the front, for sure. wider offset means it swings in a bigger arc. again your goals of what you wanna do with the truck will somewhat dictate how much travel you can actually get out of the stock pivot points. PIVOTTTTTT

-38 offset looks amazing

Are bump stops beneficial even with stock suspension?

I have a 18’ Pro with stock bilsteins and a cornfed 2” front / 1.5” rear spacer lift. Just picked up some energy suspension bump stops for the front.

Want to go with durobump stops for the rear but don’t know if I should go with their 1.5” or 4.25” stops?

They can aid in easing bottom outs. If you aren't hitting your bumpstops alot then Id say dont worry about it.

If you do go for them, I believe you want to get the shorter bumpstop as its designed for 2inches or less of lift. If you go taller, you'd be limiting your uptravel.

Get OEM toyota ones - the LEXUS GX ones that I mentioned. They're softer than the stock T4R due to the construction (think swiss cheese).

Mounted the energy suspensions at the front and the Toyota GX at the rear, very easy install thanks to @Sundy !

We did a quick test drive and we noticed that now the impact is much more soft and smooth.

I think it’s really worth to upgrade for that price.
