We did a quick test drive and we noticed that now the impact is much more soft and smooth.
I think it’s really worth to upgrade for that price.

I have never bottomed out with my current setup (and not for lack of opportunities) so I still run the oem bump stops.
I was frequently bottoming out in the desert when fully stock.

I thought I didn't bottom out with my 2.5" front lift - put in the Energy Suspension front bump stops for ~$33 and I still noticed an improvement in big bumps/off-road.
They are a bit longer and a lot softer, provide a bit more of a progressive stop vs. the OEM brick. I don't even notice speedbumps anymore.

Interesting thread. I never thought of upgrading bump stops, but it makes a lot of sense. I went with Energy Suspension bump stops for the front, and Durobump 3.5inch bump stops for the rear. I'm on a 2F\1R inch lift. The Energy bump stops are about an inch to an inch and a half taller than the stock front stops. Do they actually compress enough to not limit up travel? Thanks!
Just noticed a mistake on SDHQ website where I ordered the Durobump "1.5inch" rear bump stops from. 1.5inch would actually be shorter than the stock bump stops, so wouldn't work. The part number for the listed "Durobump stop 1.5inch" rear bump stops is DBR35. It must actually be 3.5inch tall, not 1.5inch that is described. Makes sense since the 4.25inch tall ones have part number DBR425, and meant for 2+ inch rear lifts.
Hopefully avo1789 can confirm this

I got the energy bump stops at the front too, I will be off-roading this weekend so I will test them out properly and try to bottom them out.
Anyway, even if taller, they are much softer (I can compress them with my hand a bit) compare to stock. I am pretty confident they won't limit travel at all, especially if lifted.

I bottom out frequently enough, particularly on semi maintained roads at speed coming across dry washes, it always catches my rear. The suspension is beautiful and sucks it up fantastically but definitely using all it has, I need a touch heavier/taller CO spring in front for sure. The back, I am still working out.
I have durobumps in the front with TC lowers+spacer and OEM with 2" toytec spacer in the back, I can say you really notice when the back end does compared to the not even feeling it up front.
I have been wanting to upgrade the back for ages and have been stuck between the Lexus and a set of timbren, I really wish someone would post pics and reviews of either. So hard to find/see anything on either of these.

I can't provide a lot of valuable feed back as I've only had the Durobumps and Sonoran Steels Daystar setup in the rear.
What I can say is that the aftermarket stops I have run have been considerably softer/more progressive than the OEM stops which to me was jarring to say the least. I prefer the Daystar that I run now because overall they are shorter and I'm getting more up travel than with the Durobumps. For me I feel it made the feel of the travel cycle in the rear much more fluid for lack of a better description.
I don't know if that helps much.

Oh yeah the stock rears are terrible to say the least!
For sure, any info is valuable.
I am particularly interested in the how the Lexus deals with a mild ~2-3" lift as it looks like it has a "cage" for and aft and the Timbren says nothing about performance and added height. While I don't think it matters that much most of my curiosity is how square they come in contact with the rear dif during compression.

Installed Energy Suspension bump stops in front, and DuroBumps in the back. Didn't get to test it off road yet, just regular driving. Honestly, I'm not sure I notice anything different during regular driving. The front bump stops have about ¼inch to ¾inch of a gap between the stop and the lower control arm. Pretty sure I've hit it a few times already. I think I feel like the the ride in front is smoother when going over bumps. I have to try it off road, and see how it is when flexing, and on drop offs.
I just got the rears today, so haven't driven with the DuroBumps in the rear yet. I'm sure it'll be similar, and won't notice any difference in ride during regular driving. I can confirm that the DuroBumps DBR35 that are listed and described as 1.5inch are actually 3.5inch for 0 - 2inch rear lift which makes sense being that the stock rear stops are around 2.5inch. Wouldn't make any sense if they were shorter than stock. The DuroBumps being rubber are a lot softer than the Energy Suspension flex polyurathane stops. I'm hoping the Energy Suspension stops up front won't take away any up travel.

Our bump stops are designed to hit square and reduce the impact of the bump. Let us know if you have any other questions!

I bet some photos of your 4Runner products would be greatly appreciated. If you have a side by side with OEM I think that would give everyone some good perspective also

I installed the energy suspension bump stops in the front a few days ago. Only able to do street testing for now, but I did take some sections of the road at a speed that I knew would cause contact between the bump stops and LCAs and things felt relatively normal, no harsh bottom out like I would have expected with the OE stops. Feels more stable taking turns now as well.

that fine but insta' fluff and what

is asking, at least in my mind are a little different.
I checked their feed and saw a couple of Toyotas, not much in the way of actual suspension snaps (seriously like >5% of the posts are and that's it) but more like poser/ing truck porn that you see everywhere ad nauseam and one good example of 4th gen "2-bolt install". The more specific product/model info is in line with what people that actually research products prefer to see
Just cus joe on the 'gram uses it doesn't really mean a thing to the "other 50%" you usually have to know if joe races trucks or is just some "influencer" getting free products for promos.
