Yes, I first tried them without, oddly, or not I (lightly) scrubbed my upper fender, I added the spacer and haven’t since. It may or may not help anyone else as it seems not one of these trucks has the same suspension geometry as another.

Didn't want to resurrect an old thread, but does anyone know if the Energy Suspension bump stops mentioned in the thread below work on stock suspension? If not, it seems durobumps may be the only front bumps for non-lifted vehicles? Since the Energy pieces are a generic bump stop I can't find any real details.

I rock those, but my vehicle definitely isn't stock. I probably would treat them as extended bumpstops. It wont hurt to try em on a stock setup, but it probably won't be ideal if you are offroading.

This IS a great thread.
I guess the question is why use anything on stock suspension?
My take is that the bump stop is last resort. You should not be riding the bump stops. Stock in the desert requires slow speeds no matter the bump stop.
I still don't have any. I don't need any in the rear. The 8000 series does not need a bump stop in the rear for sure. And I am using compression at nearly the softest!
The front, I am still at least 10 months away from going 8000 in the front. I am waiting for the 8112 with adjusters and the development of those was pushed down the road.
I just looked at duro bumps for under 100 delivered. The issue here is "square hits" otherwise I can do bumps to where the suspension is fully unloaded (up to an inch of air per the pics; would not dare do more), no hits.
But I don't think I will because I fear they will make me go faster
Bottom line: it ain't a race car, hitting the bump stops is a good thing because it tells you to slow down under said conditions.
So that's my contrarian 2c Happy Thanksgiving!

3" lift looking to upgrade bump stops

$118 front & $177 rear
I see some Daystar and Energy options, kinda like the durobumps...
Didn't we used to have a member her making these? @plasticman ?
Leaning towards Energy 8.9104G for front and Lexus GX470 for rear

they just come with a bolt and the chassis is threaded.. So you just bolt it up from the bottom.

well your stock bump stop is threaded on to the frame. You unthread old OEM one with one giant wrench, and thread on new ES one using a long allen wrench.

On my truck, rthe factory front bump stops are screwed into the to the Lower Control Arm. Like this (not my pic)
My setup (LCA and frame boss) look exactly like the pic above.
I've seen pics of the Energy bump stop mounted to the FRAME, facing downward, not mounted to the LCA like the stock bump rocks on my truck. Like this (again, not my pic)
That is what I was asking about. Maybe your trucks are different than mine, it sure seems like there are model year differences because I see plenty of pics online of top-mounted bumps on frame bosses that look different than mine.
I guess it doesn't matter too much, but that tall hollow Energy cone mounted upwards to the LCA seems like an excellent place for dirt, rocks and water to accumulate.
I'm finding rust everywhere that dirt/mud can accumulate and sit and I'm trying to avoid creating more such spots. Mounting them inverted solves that problem, IMO
Or maybe I just go with Durabumps on the fron, call it a day and live with another spot to clean out to avoid rust

Did the quick and nasty lift: spacers front and back, on stock suspension. Raised about 1.5 inches. Went airborne once (some roads around here are like that) and the landing was scary! Put the Energy Suspension up front and the OEM Lexus in the back. Now the bottoming is less harsh, much more composed. Well worth it! Because both bump stops are longer than the stock ones, I don't believe they will work on non-lifted trucks: they'll limit uptravel too much. Especially in the front.
