Everything else is as it looks in stock form under there. I was considering putting in a dual battery system from OGE with the aux battery being located near the firewall on the passenger side as well, but I am not sure I need that if I am not putting in the fridge/freezer like originally planned.

This is one version of the Mount Tray by DC Distribution (there are a few versions in the design phase). It is installed on a 2014 Trail Edition (with KDSS, if that matters) See the photo. Note, of course, that the SP9100 is not fully installed as the wires are not there.

It has installed on it a Blue Sea BusBar and Blue Sea terminal block for connection leads to and from the SP9100 and mods that you are connecting to it. It is made from 5052 Aluminum and weighs, as you see it here, just over 2 lbs, with mounting hardware.

I'm already hoping for a version that can accommodate a fuse block and a circuit breaker, but I'm not sure yet. Some topics I'm needing input on are things like:
What else would you want to mount?
From a consumer standpoint, what option would you want available?
Would you want a full package kind of thing? Including the bus and terminal bars with mounting hardware (SP9100 excluded of course), or would you rather go find it yourself?
Would a blank mounting surface be something of interest so you can drill holes yourself ?

Let me know your thoughts.
I like this solution. Great idea. Let me know if this goes into production.

I have not forgotten about posting more pictures. I should have some this week.

Yeah, that takes up the majority of the room in there. Not sure what to say except that you can always move things around if you change your mind later. Is there an alternate mounting place for your ARM ?

Right now there is a vertical support at the end of the tray, but there are possibilities for shortening it. Thank you for the suggestion.

The idea around the length, the spacing between the Bus/Terminal Bars and the slot is that when looking at other installs, in my opinion, the connections were almost too tight. They looked pinched up/down and difficult to make the almost 90 degree bend.

I can make any configuration I want, but I do have order minimums for any given set up (20 trays or more). I am happy to accommodate these requests, again if there is enough interest to support it.
I'm glad i came across this when i did. I was about to order the power tray setup but then found out about the vertical mounting and the warranty.

I'm in for one, you can count me as one of your twenty. I think a whole kit, bus bars, wires, breakers, etc... minus the switch pro would be a nice set to buy.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. I actually received the shipment yesterday, much to my surprise as I had not been told that they shipped.

So the status with it is that I need to look at the power cables part of it put the order in for those, but I wanted to have the MountTray in hand so I can be very specific on the cable lengths. I should hopefully be able to dial that in this week along with pricing information.

Great!!!

One thing as I kept looking over your demo one, do you have to remove the left side fender plastic cover to mount this? Also as someone else mentioned what about hood clearance?

Thanks. Can’t wait to get one of these kits to mounted in my rig.

Here is a photo where I took the rubber/plastic and just put the Mount Tray under it. You would want to either do this or cut out around the Mount Tray as you definitely would not want to install it on top of the rubber/plastic cover. I did reply to the inquiry about the hood shock, it is close, but room is tight under there. I'm trying to work out getting a picture from inside with the hood fully closed, but thats complicated, lol.....

Looks really good, any idea on what you'll be looking to get for one of these beauties? And have you decided on what you will offer with the trays? I.E. bus bars, terminal blocks, etc. I would prefer to source these items on my own, as I would like a ten terminal block. Can't wait to get my hands on one, keep us updated!

I'm waiting on the ground wire pricing to come in before I can put a dollar amount on the package deal. I want for you all to be able to have a product you can install out of the box if you know what I mean. The Blue Sea 2510 is the 10 circuit terminal Block. I can look into availability, but the holes will not line up for the 10 vs the 8 circuit on the current Mount Tray....

I'd be very interested in feedback from others on this - are there more people that would want the ability to use the 10 circuit even though you would not be able to able to connect it to the Switch Pro ? I could do a run of those if there's enough interest.

Thank you, I'll keep you in the loop, but perhaps subscribing to the thread would be good ! Any additional feedback on what you see or would like options-wise ?

So the status update is that I have the (20) Mount Trays in as well as the Blue Sea parts. Getting the ground wire in should hopefully be 1-2 weeks out !! I'm putting together the installation instructions in the meantime.

12 Circuit Fuse Block

Here is an example of the possibility of installing a Blue Sea 5026 - ST Blade Fuse Block - 12 Circuits with Negative Bus and 1 or 2 circuit breakers on a different version of the Mount Tray. Of course, this eliminates the BusBar and Terminal Block. The slot in the Mount Tray would be between the fuse block and the circuit breaker. Any thoughts or input ? Is this something of interest ?

I like this! Staying under warranty is a huge benefit.

I think your best bet is to sell blank plates. Then have a discount for bundling with additional components. But there may not be much marginal profit, and Amazon is getting harder and harder to beat.

When I get my Switch Pro, I want my lights to trigger off the tail lights. In order to do this, I need relays that uses the same tail light input the Switch Pro uses to dim the backlight. I’ve figured it out on paper, but that is the easy half of it. Just another custom option to accommodate.

Love to know when “these hit the shelves”!

Sounds good, thanks ! Pricing should be out by Monday, but I have to wait for the ground cables to come in for the package to be 'complete'. The set up that will be available will be the one with the Blue Sea 10 circuit ground buss and the 8 circuit terminal block as this is what the Mount Tray is designed for in conjunction with the Switch Pro 9100 (8 circuits).

Great ! Thanks for the input. I can definitely offer blanks, again I just have to meet order minimums (in the beginning at least) to get this off the ground. The ground cable is holding up the 'package' and is looking like a couple weeks out.

Will keep you and the thread informed.

Pricing and Availability

Hi everyone, thanks for hanging in there while this was dialed in. The final parts are in and I need to just do a final fit and photo for the Switch Pro Mount Tray this week.

At this time the only 2 offerings will be the MT-4R5-SM2 Mount Tray/Blue Sea Package as pictured for $140.00 (with installation hardware) and the MT-4R5-SM2 Mount Tray by itself (with installation hardware) $100.00 plus shipping and tax inside California.

I can meet up with people in person close to my work/home to save on shipping. Shipping will be USPS ($15-20). The Switch Pro is not included and I do not sell it.

Details to follow. Feel free to PM me or post up more questions.
