I have this one. It works but not a big fan of it. Something happened to where I have to push down on the door now in order for me to lock it. Have yet to inspect what the issue is.

I was buying this for myself for Xmas. Did you choose the key lock or tumbler lock and what has been your experience with either? I'm thinking I will go for the tumbler lock but nothing frustrates me more (as someone getting up in age with poor closeup eye sight) is finicky tumblers when trying to get something out of storage in a hurry! Then again, I don't want to be fumbling for as key when time matters.
Thx in advance.

Wow, I like. Only thing just by looking at the video that I would like to see is a 4 digit combo rather than 3. I guess in most cases a criminal would give up in a couple of minutes so they wouldn't be able to crack it.
I wonder if a phone would still get cell service inside. That way you could have a GPS location app running and could find the vehicle if it got stolen. With patience if the vehicle is stolen a 3 digit code would be crackable in a reasonable amount of time.

Thanks for sharing, curious what size pistol you can fit in it, it doesn't look as tall as the other 2 you mentioned since you keep the napkin holder
Not the same, but i added a holster that holds a full-size PPQ to my counsel vault and still retain the tissue holder. Thinking of pulling the holder so I can place items on top of the safe if I wanted. Tissue holder is kind of useless.
How's the price compared to the after market options?
If you watch the video the 2 after market options in his video are around $40 more expensive. Not sure if there are any other after aftermarket options.

This caught my interest with the preview on the video showing the ignition key near the lock. Sadly it doesn't use your ignition key to open the vault. I'm all for a combo and a key, but they should have made it the ignition key so I don't have to add another key to the keychain. Good on Toyota for adding a slot for cords though.

I will say in reading up on these and installing mine a few months ago the benefit of the combo lock over the key is that you can operate your vehicle driving around with the combination set, so if you needed to all you have to do is open the lid in an emergency. With the key A) you can't leave it in there and close the center console B) you would have to locate your safe key(assume on car keys?) so you would have to turn off car and unlock the safe.
Also with the combo there is no key to lose!

It comes with both the key and 3 digit combo lock. Non-TOYOTA brand safes, you have to choose between key and combo lock.
