Biking - I have a Stumpjumper M4 that I don't ride nearly enough

Music - I'm a bit of an audiophile, so I enjoy listening to my 2 channel stereo.

Guns of course - I don't hunt, but I love shooting in general. 1911 aficionado.

Motorcycling - I have a 2014 Aprilia Tuono - love to ride, but unfortunately do not get out near enough and my work commute is a bit far and dangerous to be riding it to work - This is something I may be selling in the near future.

Heading to Leadville CO in August to cheer on my buddy who's competing in his 10th race up there. Just being around those people will inspire you to do more with yourself.
You can add to the 1Up rack as well.

I've never done Leadville, but have coached several athletes that have. Seems like a fun atmosphere. I prefer more singletrack and less fire road in my 100 mile races though, Leadville doesn't do it for me.

That became too expensive for me so I sold the car, then flooded in Houston losing my 4Th Gen 4Runner, and drove a GTI for the last 2 years. It's a great car, and the most bang for the buck vehicle I've ever owned. I am very glad to be back in a 4Runner now but do miss the GTI from time to time. Small and zippy is a lot of fun.

I'm also a HUGE sports fan and my teams are the Houston Astros (!), the Houston Rockets, Colorado Avalanche (wife is from CO) and sometimes the Houston Texans. The Texans just haven't won me over like my other teams. I've always like Cam Newton and feel he's been treated unfairly as a pro. He can be my QB anydday.

I also travel for my work and have been to North Africa at least 50 times. This is nothing to brag about. I've been on all continents with exception of Australia and Antarctica. You've been to more countries and travelling is really underappreciated.

Finally, it's never too late to get in shape. I didn't start exercising until I was 30 and now at 42 I don't know what I'd do without it. Lots of guys at my gym start later in life, all that matters is that you start. Thanks for the response.
Very nice, I used to be in shape but than being a consultant and on the road M-F, it's hard to make it to the gym. it sucks.

I drive the same model 4Runner as you and would like to know how much that boat and trailer weigh. And how does our 4Runner handle the load?

Thank You

MTB for sure. Rode a SC Superlight for years, and picked up a Blur XC a few months ago as well. Used to do trackdays on my old motorcycle, but quit riding since it takes me almost 2 hours to get to decent roads outside of Houston. Did trackdays in my S2000 until that fkn hurricane took the car. Currently building up my ZHP to do trackdays with. I just got back from a trip to Moab, as well as Zion and Bryce Canyon NP. Since buying a 4Runner years ago heading to Colorado or out west has been a yearly thing.

My trailer completely loaded with the boat, all the fishing crap, trolling motor and a full tank of gas is 4,260 pounds (certified truck scale) with a tongue weight of 298 pounds. The trailer has functioning surge disk brakes on all four wheels. Keep in mind that optimum tongue weight for boats on trailers is about 7% of the total rig weight. Travel trailers tongue weight should be significantly higher and will affect your Runner differently.

The suspension on the 4Runner is completely stock. The rear drops about 1 1/8” with the rig hitched up and looks about level with maybe a tiny bit of rake left.

The Runner handles the load surprisingly well. It's no speed demon and fuel mileage suffers a lot on the highway. I mainly tow about 8 miles one way to the ramp and back on flat Florida roads. I tow about 7 hours down to the FL Keys once a year for a fishing trip. About 3/4 of that is on the highway at 65 to 70 mph. Haven't made that trip yet with the Runner, but my test run went fine.

The Runner is no Tundra or F-150 in the towing department, but it seems to be working for me. If you plan to tow near the limit all the time, then I would consider a different tow vehicle.

Got a list going here so bear with me
Turned my gun hobby into a job. Im currently the gunsmith at Drivetanks.com. Not a bad little gig I must say.

Always been into fossil collecting and since I live on a ranch with some stuff, including dinosaur tracks, I go out looking around and hiking every once in a while. I did make a few casts of a track. Probably gonna do some more.

Also play guitar though Im not into it as I used to be.

Published a book a few months ago and that was fun so writing another at the moment.
Too many hobbies to list and all of em expensive lol.

I got really into the HTX track scene (mainly BMW) a few years ago when I had my M4. Texas World Speedway & Harris Hill were my favorites.

I lost my 4th Gen V8 in the hurricane as well.

My wife is from CO and we head there twice a year, once during the summer and once during Thanksgiving week. We take her Pilot though, it's a much easier car to drive long distances.

Was big in BMX (parks/street) but have had too many surgeries so I've aged out. lol
Mostly snowboard and surf (despite being landlocked) for action sports now.
Also do a fair amount of woodworking of various sorts - I have a wood shop in my backyard.
I'm a former dj so I still do that occasionally.
Aside from that just the typical dad stuff.

Bulldogs. Antique Radios. Cooking, especially on my Yoder 1500. Putting together a 150 gallon aquarium this weekend. Thinking about getting a HAM license, seems like it might be fun.

This is Larry.

Not my radio but I have one just like it. Actually i have a few, more than the little lady appreciates. Looking for a nice chairside unit, maybe install a Bluetooth and listen to Pandora etc.

Larry looks like a (kindhearted) BEAST. I love big dogs. My last one was 105lbs (Lab/mix) and he was the best dog I will ever have. We have a new one now, he will turn 2 in June, but nothing will fill the hole in my heart that was left when Ollie left us way too early at 10 years of age. Enjoy that dog as long as you can because when they leave us they cannot be replaced.
