Damn. It'll just get bigger then. I dont know if OEM is worth it on these I just know not to use safelite, ever. Mine has chips all over it and I got it in December.

Does your auto insurance cover repair/replacement?
I’ve had good experiences with Safelite in the past although on other makes and not the 4Runner (knock on wood). The glass is so upright on these vehicles that it makes a good target.

The problem I have seen and read about with Safelite is they tend to use cheaper glass.

ive had safelite replace 2. its really not that big of a deal. if there is a crack to the edge of the glass then they will forgo filling it and will require replacement.
Get it filled/repaired. Safelite did mine and it looked similar. You can still see it but it is filled and stable.
That's what I did too after getting a similar crack with less than 1000 miles... they will usually repair something like this if it's on the passenger side so I decided I'd get it repaired and wait for a couple more rocks and then replace the windshield.
For what it's worth, I've had several windshields replaces over the last few years with "like kind and quality" and none of them were. Always felt like a cheap off brand, wavy and not first quality. So I'd say the OEM would be worth it. Also, make sure whichever one you use has the lines for the heated wiper rest.
Same thing happened to our Limited. We used Satellite and had no issues. If a rock will it an OEM like that it will crack any windshield so it doesn't matter. I had glass coverage so cost was minimal, but I can't remember the total.
I’d get an oem windshield. I’ve used safelite to replaced my 3rd gen a few times with ones that were supposed to be factory like quality. They looked different and cheaper than factory glass. They also never lasted very long and got tons of little sand pits and chips. The latest one cracked about a month ago just sitting in the Arizona sun. If my 5th gen needs replacing it will definitely be factory. You get what you pay for.
