I did the forward facing camera, I tapped it into factory wiring. It was surprisingly easy. Works great for cresting steep hills. I think it is in my build somewhere

I have them on my 5th Gen...you do lose a touch of visibility, they generate some wind noise, and have a fair amount of flex in the horizontal members when running rough roads. The rack was on my 5th gen when I bought it, so I'm not sure of what the actual mileage difference would be with and without. I haven't had the desire to look at another mounting option yet though, as space on the roof is limited when the RTT and storage box go on.
