I have the arclights in my rear hatch. Insane light output and one of my favorite additions to the 4runner.

perfect for me. i have ArcLightLEDs in my rear hatch.
They're nothing special and very expensive/overprice. These do the same exact thing for way less.

I'd love to line up the vehicles of everyone who is concerned and run an inventory of all of their mods that are ripoffs of all of the original products out there.
MaxTrax clones, skidplate clones, snorkel clones, HiLift clones, awning clones, RTT clones, winch bumper clones, rear trailing arm clones, drawer system clones, 2nd battery bracket clones, LED lightbar clones, freezer fridge clones... a pretty endless list of ideas that were copied, maybe slightly modified and copied again by some other person. All happily purchased by forum members and posted on Instagram.
Arclight deserves some huge credit but as a businessman he chose to keep production low and costs very high. He probably did not bother to patent his product as he knew this day was coming.

https://store.marinebeam.com/red-whi...n-dome-15-rww/
"Our dual color Red & White Switchable Constellation replacement LED bulb is made specifically for the standard dome lights and square ceiling lights found in most boats and RV's. We offer in all the standard bulb base styles, including Bayonet Single-Contact (BA15S), Bayonet Double-Contact (BA15D), T10 Wedge (W2.1x9.5d), Festoon (SV8.5), and Bi-Pin (G4). Custom bases or pigtails by request.
This drop-in bayonet LED replacement features two modes from the same bulb! It can function as either a red bulb, for preserving night vision, or with a quick flick of your existing switch, it can morph into a high-output super-bright Warm White bulb."
Take your racism and peddle it on some hate forum.

I don't think that counts as racism. Racist would say that all Chinese make their money off led ideas that may not be original
I think we all agree if we were on life support and made in Japan or made in China or USA for that matter controlling heartbeats and breathing nobody would jump at the chance for the low QC China version. Just saying more to it than RACE

You quoted what I said but didn't quote what he said which was this

So he didn't stop at the first paragraph that stated all Chinese are thieves but he went on to attack all "rich Chinese teenagers" as somehow profiting from claimed thievery.
It is inflammatory speech without any proof that "rich Chinese teenagers" have committed crimes of thievery or should be stripped of their rights. He is peddling false conspiracies in an attempt to stir up hatred against all Chinese businessmen. Same kind of crap used against Jews and Muslims.
There is no room for it here.

Rich teenagers or not, every dime spent on Chinese products supports the CPC. Those dimes add up and come back pointed at us in the form of advanced weapon systems. They steal our technology, counterfeit every item imaginable, threaten the free passage of ships in international waters, and our streets flood synthetic fentanyl. Would you do business with ISIS or the cartel if you got a better deal on your TV, etc.?
With the things I buy, if there any way to get it from another source of origin, I will pay the extra coin to do so. I'll admit this is not always possible.
On topic though, I have a full set of ArcLightLEDs and they are top notch.

It is nice you try to buy non-Chinese but I would still bet your ride is chock-full of gear and mods that are clones which come from China. It is difficult to enact a one-person ban on Chinese products but if you pick and choose which products make you feel better how is that really helping?
The ArcLight boards look top notch and had better be at $337 for a set of four assemblies. Has anyone here verified where the switches, LEDs and other chip components are manufactured? Highly unlikely they are made in the USA.
As for combating the Chinese Menace, be sure to exercise your right to vote at all levels. Previous leaders on both sides of the aisle failed us, starting with President Nixon who opened the door to Communist China. I have actually spent time in China (and many other countries) and know first hand how the Commies operate so the earnest lectures are falling on infertile ground.

It goes back further than Nixon. You can thank George C. Marshall, but that's a much deep look into history.

Arclight posted his parts list. I invite anyone to google the part numbers and you'll get your answer. They're defiantly manufactured in USA and some individual parts alone (drivers and leds) are already in excess of what car trim home uses. That's the cost of doing manufacturing in America. Say what you want to say but at least have some respect for someone who's swimming against the current to prove that with a great idea you can still run a successful business venture here. They're defiantly a dying breed with all the IP theft and trade wars going on.

Not deep at all. Marshall foolishly tried to create a unified Chinese government and failed in 1947. The US did not work with China for 25 years until Nixon opened the door, established a trade mission and allowed US Businesses to invest in China.

Granted OSRAM is a global company but not a US manufacturing company. Probably just sales offices in the US as HQ is in Germany
RobotTrader: I won't bother to refute your whole parts list because you didn't bother to check anything before trotting out bad supporting arguments.
I've never said much that's bad about ArcLights except they are exceedingly expensive.
EDIT: I just got a reply from the circuit board manufacturer Pad2Pad.COM about the origins of their boards. Pad2Pad is the supplier for ArcLight's printed circuit boards. The guy I talked to was very guarded and reverting to double-speak to protect his company BUT: unless you have a 5-day rush order single-layer PCB (that is made in America) all of your boards will come from CHINA.
Honestly. ArcLight boards should be labeled "ASSEMBLED in USA and contain parts from China".

So hopefully all of the meritless attacks directed at me about "Made in America" will cease.
Back on topic. Because I was challenged to examine a photo of a partial parts list published by ArcLights it appears the black modules in the cartrim photos is a current regulating driver for powering LED arrays. So it appears I was wrong about guessing it was a diode bridge for polarity control.
