Bottom line, buy from them if you want or not. I think they make decent enough stuff for very good prices. Example, the TRD Pro grille they sell is $125. OEM is $600!! for a couple of pieces of plastic. Now to me that is the rip off, not cartrimhome selling the same for substantially less. Much more sensible pricing for 2 pieces of plastic. Perhaps the quality isn’t at the same level as the OEM but it’s not nearly $500 less in quality. I like the site they make some items that I feel are much more reasonably priced than OEM for what the items are, blackout emblem covers, trim prices, etc. They aren’t selling engine or suspension parts. Plus they keep expanding their 4Runner line.

Do you have to drill a hole in your lens for these lights for the buttons?

You have to with the arclightleds - assuming you want the red led's as well.

Yes, you do have to drill the lens covers.

Buy it if you want it, don’t buy it if you don’t like it. Simple as that

Also I posted pictures on FB.

Can you repost the pix here? Something is off with the T4R formatting for this page and I am not seeing your FB link.

Currently the pricing is $66 for a full set. Free shipping Front reading / Rear reading / Hatch lights Lamp Bulbs LED replacement For 2010-2019 Toyota 4Runner

I have not received my order yet. It could be a while.

Barcelona4R has a set and could answer your question.

I would just install the LED panel, overlay the light cover and mark the spot for the shaft of the pushbutton switch. Next I would drill a small pilot hole and check for alignment. Gradually increase the size of the drills and adjust the hole's alignment as needed until you are at full size.

This will give you an idea. But the lights used were arclightleds not cartrimhome lights.

Goodness that's cheap for full party mode Red for $66! It's worth in my opinion for that option, heck with the competitor it's considered an addtional upgrade cost. I only have the competitor's cabin dome light, very bright more than enough leds. It looks like they run less leds with this design but will be plenty bright.

I see what they did for the cost savings. The red and white are independent leds, not combined like the the competitors so that is much less leds per each color.

Is this coming from a warehouse in us or China. I put it in my shopping cart n I noticed the ship times were pretty long if it’s from China which is understandable but there was a us shipping option also.

Both companies have two separate strings of LEDs and they can be easily seen in the pictures and the parts list. In Arclight's design the red LEDs have a black look to them and the white LEDs look yellow. In CarTrim's the red LEDs have a white face to them.

What might be going on is the Chinese boards are possibly clones of the first generation ArcLight design with less LEDs. ArcLight's latest design has more LEDs squeezed in for even more light and their website says " We even managed to squeeze in an additional 8% more LEDS in what is already a super tight space!"
