They are all shipping from China as far as I can tell. You just pay much more cash for shorter delivery

Beside the drilling for the switch, what is required to install?
Plug and play?

Minor mechanical skills to remove the dome covers, remove the stock filament bulb etc.

Follow emmantik's link to the detailed pictorial and decide if you can handle the steps for the hatch lights.

Lol. Sorry you guys are all butthurt.

Just use your heads for once. These guys are selling something so cheap that they beat even shittiest amazon leds in terms of prices. Then they add power blocks, switches, and sell them at fire sale prices.

The phrase too good to be true comes to mind. They’re probably a huge flaw with them and they’re trying to unload them ASAP. Hope all of you paid influencers consciences are clear once the reports of fires start rolling in.

Pretty obvious you've cornered the market on butthurt and didn't bother to read the thread since you last crawled out from under a rock. One member has had his units installed for over two months and no apocalyptic fires have burned out his 4Runner.

The other part you missed is that the Arclights are full of Chinese parts including the LEDs and the circuitboards. By your own vapid logic you had better keep a fire extinguisher near your Arclights for the day they catch on fire.

These Made In China items are straight out of ArcLights published parts list:

LED RED CLEAR 2PLCC SMD
OSRAM part number LR T66F-AABB-1-1-z
LR T66F datasheet Ver. 2.1
China RoHS Compliant Product

Pad2Pad is the supplier for ArcLight's printed circuit boards. The guy I talked to was very guarded and reverting to double-speak to protect his company BUT: unless you have a 5-day rush order single-layer PCB (that is made in America) all of your boards will come from CHINA.

Honestly. ArcLight boards should be labeled "ASSEMBLED in USA and contain numerous parts from China".

So please crawl back under your ROB (Rock Of Butthurt) until you actually have a valid argument and actual proof of anything that ever caught on fire or proof of your childish accusations of anyone being a "paid influencer".

Sure. I'll be back when I feel like keyboard warrior. But that's clearly your function here isn't it? You've spread more hate per post in this thread and relayed even more attacks. Also thank you for your stellar job with your emojis, bold lettering, copy pasta from Cree's Chinese website. I'm happy it helps you sleep at night.

And thank you for confirming the parts too. I feel safer already knowing ArcLight uses quality parts like CREE, OSRAM, and power blocks from an American company. Perhaps that's what he meant by made in the USA vs your weird assumptions and false narratives being arc light's manufacturing expert.

By the way these big pictures are for you. Not a good idea to misrepresent real American companies with a Global presence as being Chinese ones.

That writeup is a real solid contribution to the 4Runner community. I appreciate the time you put into it as I've had a bit of similar experience with my blog. Getting the right flow to the narrative and using just the right pictures to illuminate key points takes time.

Aren't you precious. All that misguided effort to post wrong information. A sad way to increase your post count.

Just because a company has a sales office in the US does not mean it is an "real American" company. Posting multiple pictures of bad information only embarrasses you further.

Let's again look at Osram which sells the Red LEDs used by ArcLight as the previous poster stated with the ArcLight parts list he shared. Note Osram clearly states where their HQ is and clearly state where production is with absolutely no production in the US. But it seems you consistently fail at reading comprehension don't you? Funny you pretend to read Chinese and claim it was CREE LEDs. You shouldn't lie like that. I gave the link (https://www.osram.com.cn/os/) where that text came from but you offer nothing to backup your frantic claims of "American Made". Osram LEDs are not made in the USA. Just sold here.

OSRAM Licht AG is a multinational lighting manufacturer headquartered in Munich, Germany.

SOURCE: Osram - Wikipedia

OSRAM was founded in 1919 by the merger of the lighting businesses of Auergesellschaft, Siemens & Halske and Allgemeine Elektrizitäts-Gesellschaft (AEG). On 5 July 2013, OSRAM was spun off from Siemens, and the listing of its stock began on 8 July 2013 on Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

Osram Opto Semiconductors (not to be confused with Osram Sylvania)

Osram Opto Semiconductors is a wholly owned subsidiary of Osram which designs and manufactures opto-semiconductor products. One of the main products of this subsidiary is light-emitting diodes (LEDs). As the world's second largest manufacturer of optoelectronic semiconductor for the illumination, sensing and visualization sectors, Osram Opto Semiconductors GmbH combines extensive know-how in semiconductors, converter materials and packages under one roof. Besides its headquarters in Regensburg, Germany, it has further production sites in Penang and Kulim, Malaysia, and Wuxi, China and a global network of sales and marketing centre.

Since you had to mistakenly throw CREE into the mix, chew on this:

CREE has been sending LED manufacturing outside of the US for quite a while. How can you say you "buy American" with a straight face when you are really buying Chinese? Oh no! Gonna' catch your 4Runner on fire, LOL (your claim)

Cree opens LED chip manufacturing facility in Huizhou

A grand opening ceremony was held on December 8, 2010 for Cree Huizhou Solid State Lighting Co., Ltd. at the Huizhou Zhongkai High-tech Industrial Development Zone in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, China. The facility is Cree’s first LED chip manufacturing base outside North America, and this also makes Cree the first international LED company to set up a chip manufacturing facility in China.

Source: Cree opens LED chip manufacturing facility in Huizhou | LEDs Magazine

Or if you were savvy you could read their 2018 financial report HERE:
https://investor.cree.com/static-fil...6-24898912364a Page 25

LED products are produced at our owned manufacturing facilities located in
Huizhou, Guangdong Province, China. We also own dormitories for housing
our Chinese employees near and adjacent to the owned manufacturing
facilities. The owned manufacturing facilities, dormitories, and support
buildings are located on land that is leased from the Chinese government
through two leases. The first land lease is for 12 acres that expires in
June 2057 and supports the manufacturing facilities. The second land
lease is for 5 acres that expires in December 2082 and is used for dormitory
buildings.

ArcLight boards should be labeled "ASSEMBLED in USA and contain numerous parts from China" but you'll still insist that spending all that money on them somehow makes their Chinese parts less likely to catch on fire, LOL

Well... Chinese quality. This ain't no arclights. They don't quite fit well. The socket adapters are too long. One lead broke off and I had to solder back on

All in all, they work. The map lights and rear hatch lights are not polarity sensitive. I purposefully installed one the opposite way and they work. Super bright. Well worth the $65 imo

The dome light, I wrapped some Tessa tape to reduce rattling on the voltage booster.

Great review and thanks for the pictures too! Nice to see the facts on the build quality. Whenever mine show up I'll inspect the soldering on the leads. As the months roll by it would be good for folks to also report on LED or pushbutton switch issues and any outright failures.

How was the red LED light output?
