Killer! Congrats on the new ride. I agree with your 4Runner pros/cons, and I sure wish I could make a list of land cruiser pros/cons.

While I am very jealous, I have been on a fuel economy attack for a few months, and I’ve finally got my fuel economy back to 19mpg in the 4Runner. I didn’t think that was going to happen to my 4 year old truck. Realistically, I’m only saving a few hundred dollars per year, and I pissed away many saturdays in the process, but it’s nice to be happy with my fuel economy again.

So that’s all I’ve got; Better fuel economy than you. Otherwise, I’m jealous as hell.
Is the LC fuel tank larger? I would expect so... higher fuel cost is not the end of the world, but reduced range would be a bummer.

Enjoy the ride. Excellent farewell post, btw. A picture would be well appreciated.

Cheers!

I get about 18 on the freeway in my land cruiser. Around 20 in my 4runner. Similar difference in town. Both pretty bad TBH.

My only criticisms with TLC centers on two things:

1. Limited legroom in 2nd row. Less than 4runner. Yes, it is wider but there are no room for toes under front seat.

2. FAKE wood...horrible cheapass looking ones too in an $85k vehicle. I cannot think of any vehicle past $50k with fake wood. Door handles are just cheap plastic. Leather is nice and JBL audio system is pretty good.......but that’s about all i can say good about TLC interior.

Don’t get me wrong, the rest of the car is legendary.....but man, that interior is just cheap and 2nd row room is just not great for such a big vehicle.

Congrats in the LC! Owning 2 FJ40’s and a Tundra I wanted something that would do better on gas. I considered an 80 series as they are the last of the solid front axle LC’s stateside but again poor mileage. Very happy with the Pro. I think the LC is very well built but here in AZ you would be hard pressed not to have pinstriping your first off road jaunt. Many times I take out a 40 just to avoid that. We love pics, hint, hint....
