All Power Windows not working - 2014

Hey there, I was hoping to get some help diagnosing a problem.

All my power windows seemed to have stopped working entirely. The drivers side master switches do not work, nor do the switches on the each door itself. Even the rear lift gate window button does not work, although you can still use the the key to roll it down).

The lights on the switches are NOT illuminated.
I have checked all fuses in the cabin and engine bay.

The stealership wants 150 to diagnose + whatever repairs.
Anyone care to save the day ?

Yeah that sounds like it's definitely a fuse.

Does your AC and center console screen above Nav work?

Which fuse do you think I should replace?

Just going out on a limb because I didn't see it in your post; however, I may have missed it. Did you try pressing the window control lockout button? It should be just in front of the passenger window control on the drivers door.

Yea i should have clarified. I tried the window locking button as well. No dice. All lights are off in the power window controls on the Drivers side. Im thinking either a fuse or the switch controls itself. I did check fuses though and I believe the main fuse would be the 30Amp that also controls a variety of interior functions

Ok, just making sure. Is there a possibility the connector on the drivers control has come off? Has anyone ever worked on that door?

hehe I did just have the drivers side fender replaced. I wonder if they could have clipped the wire? Any suggestions on where you think I should look?

See if this helps... YouTube

Anything done lately that would've messed with the electrical system? Before reading any of the responses I was going to suggest a fuse as some others did. Fixing the front fender shouldn't have been the root of your problem, but maybe they knocked something near the battery and blew a few of your fuses. Fuses are cheap- couldn't hurt to pick a few up and see if that's the issue.

Good luck man, let us know what happens.

If it worked trouble free for years then started at the time, the fender was replaced, that's where I'd check first. Ideally you'd hope to find a connector knocked loose or simply just not connected back properly after the work. Worst case scenario, a wire or multiple wires has been cut or pinched. I'm not familiar with the exact location of those wires as I have not worked on mine yet. Most likely those wires go from the door to the "A" pillar which is what your fender is tied to. I would inspect the wires in the area and see if you can follow from the boot to the inside of the drivers footwell with your hand to see if anything is out of place. Remove the kick panel and inspect with a flashlight as well.

The fender itself shouldn't have caught the wire loom but they were working in the area soooo.....

Hi decker1

I would change the Power window fuse just to be sure that it is, in fact, good! I would use a multi-meter set to DCV (low volts scale) to check the fuse in question for voltage with the key in the ON position. If it turns out the the fuse isn't the problem, I would do a Master Reset on the Main body ECU Compu Network.

Look in the main Rly/fusebox under the hood, and locate the 'Short-pin' in the top row of the fuses; it looks like a WHITE fuse but it's not. It feeds the dome lights and the MB-ECU and 25 related ECU's! This is there to prevent a battery drain (by a door being left ajar, or the 26 or 27 ECU's drawing current) while the truck is being shipped from the factory to it's dealership destination!

Pull that short-pin out and leave it out for a minimum of four hrs! This will RESET the ecu's to their factory settings! When you reinstall the short-pin, the radio pre-sets will be lost, and the Instrument panel "Compass" will need a "Circle Calibration", confirmed by a Blinking Dot adjacent to/left-side of the direction icon e.g., .N!

Instructions for a compass 'circle calibration' is in the manual (procedure determined by the Trim level)! Let us know how you make out with the master reset and circle calibration when completed! 'Best to you',

I'm experiencing exactly this problem. Where the AC and center console screen above Nav don't work as well as the windows. Do you know what the solution could be??

I've found the solution. For my 2014 4runner trail, it's the "ECU-IG no.1" fuse in the cabin fuse box under the drivers side dash.
