Need guidance with suspected KDSS noise

I have searched the forums for the notorious clunk and that doesn’t appear to be my issue.

I have a 2018 TDRORP with KDSS.

Upon starting and driving down the road, I am occasionally getting a loud pop/clunk that sounds like a rock hit hard in a wheel well. However, the origin of the noise seems to be coming from right under the driver’s side, where the KDSS cylinder is.

Most of the KDSS threads pointed to a problem with turning left, and the noise coming from the front of the vehicle. I just had this happen driving in a straight smooth road at 45mph, about 5 minutes after leaving a restaurant, and the noise definitely came from under the driver’s seat. Is the 3rd or 4th time it’s happened.

Any ideas?

KDSS cylinder in the back tends to be clanky during cold weather. I needlessly replaced rear shocks just to confirm it was KDSS making thump noise.

Sway bar link/end bushings have a limited life depending on driving habits and will produce clunks when worn. Went through this on mine, easy check/fix.

especially with a lift, the front bushings at the LCA's are in a bad position. i replaced ours and it eliminated a knocking sound.

I replaced bushings but occasional clunk is still there because it comes from cylinder itself.
