Xenon Depot Lighting Issue Help

Hi,
I installed the 9005 LED kit for high beam with the DRL driver. Once complete the driver side works perfect but nothing from the passenger. Also, both DRL lights do not work. I have tried reversing the polarity of the passenger side nothing. I also attempted to refit the OEM bulb nothing. I did find a 10amp fuse blown under the hood but when I replaced it blew again. Can anyone help me?

The HID kit worked perfect on the low beams.

Did you try swapping bulbs from side to side? to see where the problem really is?

In other words does the passenger side bulb suddenly start working when attached to the drivers side?

Ok I will try changing bulbs over. Then drivers try to find the problem.

Ok so I managed to get them working. I tried the drivers side bulb and driver module first nothing. Then I tried a higher rated fuse as per xenon depot website. Should be 10 amp i tried 15 amp and it blew. Put a 20 amp fuse in and the light worked fine.

Worried though as I now have a 20amp fuse sitting in the slot for a 10. Will this cause heat issues or any sort of fire hazard? The dirvers side is working fine with a 10 amp fuse.

I would contact Xenon Depot and see if that lamp is working within design specs. I believe all the wiring to the fuse block is probably all the same gauge. I'm guessing 20amp will be fine as there are most likely other 20a fuses in the block (don't know for sure with out heading out in the 97 degree heat to check)

But I would ask Xenon Depot to make sure you don't have a lemon or one on the outer edge of specs.

I think its more of a vehicle wiring system thing. It worked fine connected to the drivers side with a 10 amp fuse. I tried it on the other side with no issues, But I will message them.

The circuits supplied by the fuse block are all independent of each other. The fact there are other 20A fuses does not mean it's ok to over fuse your lighting circuit with a 20A fuse to make it work. There is something wrong with that circuit; or some part connected to it. I suggest you remove that 20A fuse and not use that circuit until you (or someone else) troubleshoots and finds the problem.
