I am curious what year 4Runner and edition you all have that are installing the Strike bumper on. Mine is a 2012 Trail Edition. I am planing to do a install video on the cutting aspect and anything else that might be different from Darrell’s video at Victory 4x4.

In the videos, I’ve noticed there is quite a bit of space between the rear fender and the bumper. Instead of trimming at 5 inches, could we trim at 5.5 inches?

Good question. Maybe Cam will chime in on this. My guess is that you need about 1/2” of clearance for flex when off-roading. Anybody get there bumper delivered yet?

Yes, you will want clearance for flex when offroading. That gap will close up some when the 4Runner is flexed. If you aren't concerned with that, you could trim less.

Mine is out for delivery today. That said, its at a business I work with so I'll have to make a couple of trips to get it to the house. I might/SHOULD have it all to the house this afternoon.

3 hours and this is where I stand. Bumper and swing out are assembled, but not together, and ready to install. Had to run to Lowes and get some flat black paint to paint over the silver pieces under the bumper cover.

Did you take out the rear proximity sensors prior to cutting off the. Bumper or disconnect afterward?
