Looks good, keep it as is, no cut ones add weight and haven't seen one that looks good, to chunky around the light. Will there be a notch to retain the oem hitch or is the one integrated into the bumper rated for towing?

@Victory 4x4 couple of questions:
1. Would the swing out options be one or two half-width arms, or will you be designing one full-width single arm option as well?
2. Where the upper plastic bumper is cut, is there room where the cut edge will be hidden behind the new steel bumper, or will the cut edge butt up to the bumper and be visible?
3. How soon will pricing (even ballpark) be available?
Thanks!

Looking good so far. Please do not use those ghetto latch style gate locks. I can't imagine paying a premium on a quality product only to have it look slapped together at the end like almost every other company out there.

There's one company that uses handle style gate latches / locks and although they are on the pricey end, it's probably the only bumper I would consider. However it doesn't increase the rear clearance angles and maintains the stock hitch, which is odd.

Here's a great oppertunity to increase clearence, make a product that looks and functions well and most importantly take my $

We don't plan to make a no-cut option. It's mainly an aesthetic reason, but the cut also saves weight, shipping costs, and it's only one cut with nothing to worry about underneath.

You will have the option to run 0, 1, or 2 half-width swingouts and add them later on if needed.

We may include trim for the cut edge, but the wings will have a bent flange that will go up behind the factory plastic to eliminate an empty gap. (I believe, more info next week)

It’s too early in this process to be able to give pricing. We haven’t even built the swings yet! I’m confident that our price will be in line with the rest of the market, with added features and low lead times! Stay tuned, hopefully, I should have more updates this next week.

Thank you.

I know what latch you are referring to and it looks to be an amazing design. I have no first-hand experience with it though.

We’ve used a lot of different latching mechanisms on Jeep swingouts over the last 16 years. When it comes down to it, K.I.S.S principal applies. Some of those boring latches actually work better than overly complicated latch mechanisms. You also run into a supply issue. It’s not good for customers if the only option for replacement parts is through the manufacturer. We are not a latch company. We are an armor manufacturer, so it’s wise to stay in your lane and not cause difficulties producing something you have no specialty in.

We will be using a latch like this, rather than a draw-pull latch. They sit much tighter to the face of the bumper and work well.

Going up up the outside of the cut bumper would hide a lot of sins. Making a perfect cut on painted plastic it not easy. This would still allow a great blending of the factory body with your bumper. In addition it may increase sales for anyone nervous about the cutting, knowing that small mistakes will be hidden and surgeon hands are not required.

Maybe a narrow top plate welded on top (grinder down to be smooth) tack welded inside, that is .25-.5” wide. Waterjet cut. One side matches the profile of the factor bumper and the other your bumper. This would allow it to transition from one profile to the other seamlessly

What are you talking about? Making a perfect cut on painted plastic is very easy. Having common sense is what people struggle with.

Does it hurt being so perfect? 🤔
