Procomp 97 Series steel wheels for 5th Gen

Howdy All,
I've been doing a bit of searching and found some threads here and over at Toyota 120 and Yotatech about 52 and 87 series and how they do and don't clear calipers on a 5th gen depending on spacers and offset and such.

I was looking to go to a 97 Series steel wheel in 17x9 in 6x5.5 108 bore and -38mm offset for a set of 315's.

Pro Comp Xtreme Rock Crawler Series 97 Steel Black Wheels 97-7983S3.5 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

Problem is, I haven't actually been able to determin whether they'll clear the calipers. Might just have to grab one and see if it fits, but would rather avoid that.

I've got an email in to Procomp, but also wanted to check here if anyone had any experience with these wheels on a 5th gen or know anyone who has?
EDIT: Procomp advises that they do not make a steel wheel that will clear a 5th gen brake caliper without spacers, but would still be very interested to know if anyone has used this wheel or any steel wheel other than OEM on a 5th gen.
Thanks!

Incoming alloy vs steel debate... something somthing trd wheel lips. Something something fix with a hammer. Something something how many alloys have you actually cracked. Something something bent and hard to balance. Something something unsprung weight.

Anyways I flat out like the look of dished steelies I may be in if these don't need spacers.

Same measurements as SCS F5 wheels with -38. I say order a wheel and try it out.

Let us know and take pics.

We have those exact rims on our FJ. Love the look and performance but unfortunately they do come in contact with the calipers. We have to run spacers.

Thank you for your reply. I can run spacers with my current 305's but with the 315's the scrub radius will be too great, especially off road. Looks like I'll might have to find another wheel set.

I think I may have ran this by you to before. Only reverse I asked if the wheels on your fj needed spacers.

and for the second time...
