Oil weeping from this- what is it please?

Hi - under my truck this afternoon and saw this - it seems to be weeping oil - what is it and does it matter? Truck is a 2014 which about 60,000 milers on it - thanks!

Looks like the air dryer for the AC system. It uses oil in the R134 refrigerant so it might have a small o-ring seal leaking some where. Have a shop that specialize with AC repair take a look at it.

Hi Simonpk,

The horizontal canister is the "Receiver Dryer" sitting on top of the A/C condenser! As @slprciv has stated, there are rubber "O" rings between the lines connected. Occasionally, if the lines need to be tightened, you may see some of the refrigerant oil weeping out; that's an indication of a refrigerant leak, so you may need a refrigerant charge as a result!
