Has anyone mounted lights onto stock bumper?

Hi all,

I'm looking to see if anyone has mounted any lights to the front OEM bumper?

Not behind the grill, but in front....

Thanks
Chris

You mean like on a bull bar?

I don't think there is much to support the weight without aftermarket bumper. Do not want to mount it to the plastic thats for sure.

Yes that's what I was referring to. I was wondering if anyone had made some soft of bracket for underneath.

The new Baja LP6 lights look awesome. Would like to try mount some to the top of the bumper with some support behind if possible...

You could make some pretty simple mounts if you were willing to cut holes in the lower grill section. Then mount those to either the crash beam or hang down from the center bumper support crossmember. These are the mounts I made to hang lights down utilizing stock holes so I could install the C4 bumper and still have lights in the grill opening.

My future plan is the KC Hi-lites Pro6 light bar.

You want to be careful if you get too low. On plastic with some reinforcement, you’ll be at greater risk of ripping them off if you actually go off road.

What is that stuff, hand forged by elves in Mordor? On the FB group, someone posted $185 high lift mounts from them. To mount a 60 dollar jack. SMH.
