DIY Camp Solar Shower

I don’t post much, but wanted to share my take on the pvc solar shower. The ones I’ve seen were just ~10’ of pipe slapped on top of the roof. Good idea, just looks bad to me. I wanted the same thing, but more integrated. Since I almost always leave my Yakima Megawarrior on top, I figured I could nest it into the basket. Here it is

keep the pressure low, DWV isn't really made to be pressurized

good advice here. If your design works good, maybe copper or aluminum would be better to handle the pressure??

and you get +1000 man points for having a lift in the garage! That's also a lovely front yard and picket fence.

Yeah, but he doesn't need much pressure. It would work for the kids just on gravity.

hahaha...thanks! worked hard to get all of that!

also, only running 20psi. I have a pop valve to regulate it for extra safety.

i built something similar but a 4' long 4" section of piping. Thinking about modifying it so that I can attach a quick connect instead of the traditional screw on hose fitting.

Also, I have a bunch of CO2 that I use to carry whilst cycling, might be interesting to attach the CO2 bottle to the valve to run pressure to it while using the water.
