it's a suv that gets driven and there will be rock chips. Touch it up with some touch up paint and move on. Not the end of the world. It will happen sooner or later.......

End of drama and have clear protection or a wrap applied with a good mil thickness on your vehicle. Even the Jap paint is weak now.

My 2021 white has a few paint chips at less than 700 miles, it appears there is no primer and it's exposed to bare metal, will touch up paint suffice? My main goal is to stop rust and don't want to hurt it by touching it up and at the same time I'm anticipating a lot more of these so I can't do the proper 5 step process each time.

The paint is not very good on 5th Gen 4Runners. It chips and scratches very easily and it takes a lot to get it to get it to shine and take a good application of “wax”

I come from an automotive background and I have done alot of body work on cars.

Honda and Acura have some nice paint and colors of paint that are good looking and durable so there is no excuse for Toyota to sell vehicles with the shit paint they put on the 4R.

Rubbin' it and Rubbin' it Until it's Really Red

Yes, quite possibly the worst paint out of all of our cars, especially on the plastic trim like bumpers and fender covers.

Not sure how the SR5 guys deal, but I’m glad there is valence up front on the trail/ trd that takes most of the forward debris.

I was surprised how much side chips I get from the front tires kicking up rocks on gravel roads. Doors, rear fender flare. 2021 white. Front too but I put a paint film on it at 700 miles.

My old 2014 Subaru forester was also atrocious.

My 99 corvette with 130k miles seems to accumulate chips at 10% of the 4runner/Subaru

I have a voodoo blue PRO. Doctor Colorchip system works great! I touch up the chips as I see them and she looks great.
