Same here. Part arrived earlier than expected and I got excited. Installed it and messed around with all possible settings only to be disappointed. Glad it wasn't an expensive test.
First post, first mod. Thanks for sharing this. I just bought a 19 ORP 3 weeks ago. This was simple and satisfied my curiosity when I noticed this about the truck a couple weeks in.
Thank for this info. Thought it didn't work, but then I moved the dial from the all the way (clicked) position and it worked. I know some said it didn't work, but try moving the wheel from the all the way on clicked position and turn the headlights on a test it.

Did not work for my 2016 SR5P. Though the wire was there.

2. When the sensor is installed, does adjusting the dial other than max have an effect on how bright or dim the dash lights are?
Still getting use to the lingo 19 ORP would be Offroad Premium right not the Pro model? I have a 19 TRD Offroad Premium so ti be awesome to know if it works out of the box already hah.

Yeah I have the off-road premium. I wonder if people that say it doesn't work have a bad sensor. These are less than $10 when the actual Toyota sensor is around $180 from the dealer.
