Drivers front dash speaker blown
So other than purchase a factory speaker, which aftermarket would be the best sounding, direct plug and play replacement?
I have a 2017 limited in case it matters.

There have been several threads through the years on this. IIRC there was one set of speakers that works with the JBL System in our Limiteds and it’s not made any longer. I think I’m going to just order replacement OEM speakers for the dash because they sounded good to me when my truck was new...
I’m sorry I couldn’t be more helpful but at least I’ll save you the time and aggravation I went through, along with others, trying to find something better than OEM.

If you're looking for a plug and play option the Subaru Kickers are probably your best bet

If I were replacing the dash speakers only, I’d do the infinity REF-3032CFX. I tried adding the JL Audio C2-350x in my 2015 Limited with JBL. I thought the clarity of the sound was hugely improved, but the JL Audios were pretty quiet due to higher impedance and lower sensitivity. I think the infinity speakers would be a better fit with the existing system and an improvement to the sound quality.
If you add either of the above mentioned speakers, you’ll need to make some minor alterations, but there are a lot of tutorials on here and YouTube for how to do that.
And FWIW, I ended up rewiring and added components powered by a separate amp, but it doesn’t sound like you’re there...yet.

Take a look at this. Minor alterations, period.
The kicker speakers are tweeters only. You will lose your midrange frequencies!

The OEM Audio + speakers sound really great. I recently installed them in my 4Runner and like them a lot! 4runner - OEM Audio Plus
They are plug and play.

Being I have a limited, the stereo is the JBL system. Will the Subaru H631SFJ101 replacement sound better than the Toyota factory tweeter?

I replied above but to be perfectly honest, you just may do as I did.
Install, listen then remove!
They are only tweeters, period.
Your factory speakers have a tweeter and a mid range.

Same. Just installed my setup this past week. Easy work other than the wiring harness. But you gotta be patient....my order took about 45 days before it shipped.

Ditto on the Infinity Reference dash speakers. Installed a pair of the REF-3022cfx (discontinued and replaced by REF-3032cfx) couple years ago and love them When cranked up carry more sound than almost all the other speakers combined. Crisp and clear.

Thread revival. It has been over a year now, are the best options for replacement dash speakers still the OEM+? I have the factory JBL system with a blown speaker on the driver side dash, as well as the door speaker I believe. Should I replace both dash speakers or just the one that is blown, I know next to nothing about audio systems anymore info is very helpful.
