In the larger Warn bumper thread, some members cut a notch in the bracket to clear the sway bar. Others left off those brackets. Pretty sure if you look at some of the other hybrid bumpers on the market - they don't use those brackets.
New Warn Semi-Hidden Winch Kit bumpers
Reminds me, I need to crawl under there and double check the bumper mounting to Warn bumper. When I had the BMC done, they trimmed my bumper to allow for the 33 inch tires.
Need to double check to see if that everything is still attached correctly.

Awesome, thanks for sharing that info, I’m about to pull the trigger on the bumper itself, probably hold off on a winch until I get into more tricky trails. Mainly want this as some front end protection and as a recovery point.
Also see that you’re in Missouri, I’m on the KS side in Kansas City, but am down at Table Rock quite a bit in the summer.

It will give you some protection up front. I'm just down the road from Bull Shoals Lake. If get down this way, let me know.

Oh man this is great, you keep buying the parts I’m looking at and on the same color truck lol. I did end up getting that bumper from 4wp for a hell of a deal and had it within two days.

Cool.
You could put a cheap Harbor Freight Badlands Winch into that bumper as a place holder till you get a nicer one.
Their winches get great reviews. I don't know if you watch Matt's Off Road Recovery on youtube:

But he has one that he uses frequently.

Some of my excursions.
April 3rd, 2021 - Springfield, MO Rigs and Coffee get together @ Artemis Overland Hardware + Trail Ride.
Artemis Overland Hardware
Rigs and Coffee: Springfield, MO
Convoy to the trail:
Start of the trail:
A guy brought his brand new 2021 Subaru Crosstrek on the trail ride. I was pretty impressed by it. He stuck around for the 1st 1/3 and then turned back. Probably a good thing, as more ground clearance was really needed, for the rest of the ride.

I do watch his channel, and I was looking at the badlands this weekend as it was on sale. It might be a bit overkill for my needs. I’m leaning towards the Warn evo10s as it should fit that bumper easily and convenience of having a longer warranty.

Rotopax mount installed.
Used this article for my inspiration.
RotopaX Mounting Bracket by Overland Equipped - RotopaX Ladder Mount
Bracket:
Amazon.com: Rotopax Heavy-Duty Mount Backing Plate Kit for Off-Road Ladder with Hardware: Automotive
Drove over to the hardware store with it on there and found myself worrying / being paranoid, that someone was going to steel the Rotopax. Guess I need the locking hardware.
