How's this holding up? That's a lot of weight cantilevered out off the rack.

@MRG_TRD - if you could shoot me a copy of the CAD file I'd very much appreciate it.

It is solid as a rock. Better than anything that came from Roadshower. My powder coating guy laughed at the Chinese powder coat from Road Shower. It was a joke. The brackets are literally rock solid. I hope some of the other guys who have them now would express their comments on the quality.

Mine is the no-drill. It has been phenomenal. No issues.

Yes, I have many front runner products and I absolutely love some of them (not the tent and/or ladder or roof rack). Everything from front runner is a little lacking in durability but it gains points in price, fitment, and overall convenience. I've visited the front runner warehouse in CA and it basically looks like they received several shipments from China and re-ship them back to domestic customers. I'm not a chinese product basher by any means but you can definitely tell the difference from a higher quality product. I'm going to qualify this by saying that Prinsu isnt the be all end all either... I'd love to just design and build my own rack. I guarantee it would be better than both... although would probably cost me just as much if not more to fabricate.

In the end its all the same crap. Quality crap... but still crap.

I've just purchased a 2020 T4R ORP and have been looking at the Prinsu racks as an out the door starter rack along with the road shower. Currently just picked up the Waterport and will be testing that out but love the look and weight of the 7 gal. Road Shower. I'm interested but wouldn't be looking to purchase for a few months. The build just started and I have a few other priorities; suspension, tires, rock sliders, etc.

Unfortunately I couldn't upload the CAD file but here is a PDF of the file to start. Shoot me an email at [email protected] if you want the CAD file. I ordered the parts through emachineshop.com but if you have your own access to a machine shop I'm sure they can work with it too. The file is free if you want it, not trying to make money off of this. Just trying to provide a resource for those that need it.

Thanks for the help MRG, much appreciated! I know it's a ballpark/general estimate, but how much would you expect a shop to charge to CNC the parts from the CAD?

Emachineshop.com charged me $30 per bracket if I made 10. I thought it was a very fair price. If there is enough interest I’d be happy to make another run for people if they’d be willing to pay up front. It takes about 3-4 weeks for them to arrive.

Did you do the bends yourself or did they bend them for you? what material did you make them out of? Did Emachine shop powder coat it for you?

Also, I’m working through the manufacturing thing for something else 4Runner related and may be able to get these made cheaper if anyone is interested. Not sure of the demand but I could probably have a short run made for less than 30 dollars per bracket. I can check it it might save folks some trouble.

Would your brackets arrive bent, and powder coated? I'd be interested! It's awesome to see how the T4R community comes together to conquer this stuff!

I can get them laser cut and bent pretty easy and I’m sure I can come in cheaper. The powder coating may be a sticking point. I’ll have to see what I can do.

Sounds good. Any idea when you'll have more info? All I need now is a massive road shower!

I requested the CAD file from MRG_TRD. Once I get I’ll 3D model it and get a price. It may take through next week to get a price depending on how soon I get the cad file.
