Looks great! But how long will it last?

The whole purpose of a skid plate is to protect the engine and other under body components from damage. My skid plate has a number of dents in it when I hit rocks while off roading. Thus, I would not think to power coat it.

I’m not planning on banging it off any rocks. Should hold up great to your everyday road debris!

I just used truck bed liner in a spray can. Easy to touch up and it was only $9.

Rust oleum hammer tone on mine. I touch it up when needed when I change the oil.

It looks really good!

Didn’t powder coat mine, but did blast all the powder coating off and painted it with duracoat after priming it.
Here is another thread where some of us changed them. Painted, but not powder coated ....

You know they are powder coated from the factory, right?

Appreciate it! I had a local professional do it. They had a textured finish sample that I thought would be good and I’m happy with how it turned out.
